Abstract

Mesin diesel pada umumnya berbahan bakar minyak. Namun dengan seiring berkembangnya jaman banyak peneliti sudah melakukan modifikasi mesin diesel dengan bahan bakar ganda atau sering disebut dengan Dual Fuel. Hal ini dilakukan dikarenakan semakin menipisnya cadangan minyak bumi di dunia. Sistem kerja dari mesin Dual Fuel adalah dengan memasukan BBG (Bahan Bakar Gas) ke dalam ruang bakar secara bersamaan dengan masuknya udara pada saat langkah hisap di intake manifold. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan bahan bakar CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). Semakin banyak penambahan CNG berbanding lurus dengan power yang dihasilkan. Namun, IMO menerbitkan aturan untuk kebisingan pada setiap lingkup kerja yang menimbulkan kebisingan. Kinerja mesin ketika dilakukan dengan putaran maksimum dan penambahan gas yang semakin banyak maka berbanding lurus dengan tingkat kebisingan. Daya yang dihasilkan oleh mesin pada beban maksimum meningkat dengan penambahan CNG. Dengan daya yang semakin tinggi terdapat nilai kebisingan yang tinggi pula. Namun tingginya nilai kebisingan terjadi antara 2 hal, noise yang dihasilkan atau knocking yang ditimbulkan.

Diesel engines are generally fuel oil. But with the development of the era, many researchers have modified diesel engines with dual fuel or often called Dual Fuel. This is done because of the depletion of petroleum reserves in the world. The working system of the Dual Fuel engine is by entering CNG (Gas Fuel) into the combustion chamber simultaneously with the entry of air at the time of the suction step in the intake manifold. In this study using CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fuel.
The more addition of CNG is directly proportional to the power produced. However, IMO issued rules for noise in every work area that caused noise. The performance of
the engine when carried out with maximum rotation and the addition of more and more gas is directly proportional to the noise level. The power produced by the engine at maximum load increases with the addition of CNG. With higher power there is also a high noise value. But the high value of noise occurs between 2 things, noise
generated or knocking caused.
