Abstract

Tingginya persaingan bisnis yang terjadi pada industri jasa pengangkutan chemical khususnya sektor minyak bumi dan gas, menuntut setiap perusahaan untuk memiliki keunggulan dalam bersaing agar dapat mempertahankan keberlangsungan bisnis mereka. PT. XZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan swasta yang bergerak di industri jasa pengangkutan sektor minyak bumi dan gas. Saat ini perusahaan kerap mengalami permasalahan internal sehingga mengakibatkan kerugian di tahun 2018. Hal ini disebabkan hilangnya kontrak dibeberapa wilayah pengiriman yang berdampak pada penurunan omset yang cukup drastis. Disisi lain, sistem manajemen yang kurang baik dan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang tidak tepat menyebabkan tingginya biaya operasional yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan.
Analisa strategi bersaing dilakukan dengan melakukan re-desain Business Model Canvas menggunakan Blue Ocean Strategy dan menciptakan sasaran-sasaran strategis baru serta pengukuran kinerja bisnis melalui analisa Balanced Scorecard. Tahap awal dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan posisi PT. XZ dalam persaingan industri berdasarkan critical success factor dengan melakukan survei, observasi dan wawancara terhadap pihak manajemen perusahaan.
Sepuluh faktor persaingan industri pengangkutan sektor minyak bumi dan gas di Indonesia telah diidentifikasi yang kemudian dinilai untuk mengetahui posisi persaingan saat ini dengan kanvas strategi. Pada penelitian ini juga didapatkan didapatkan model BMC baru PT. XZ dengan 12 sasaran strategis, yaitu 2 sasaran strategis pada perspektif financial, 2 sasaran strategis pada perspektif customer, 5 sasaran strategis pada perspektif internal business process, dan 3 sasaran strategis pada perspektif learning and growth. Dengan dilakukannya penelitian ini diharapkan perusahaan dapat menjalankan bisnis yang lebih fokus sehingga target dan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya dapat tercapai.

High competition that occurs in the business of chemical transportation industry, particularly in the oil and gas sector, urges each firm to possess excellency despite rivalry, in order to be capable of maintaining sustainability in their company. PT. XZ is one of the private companies engaged in the oil and gas sector transportation services industry. Company often experiences internal problems resulting in losses in 2018. This is due to the loss of contracts in several shipping areas which have resulted in a drastic reduction in turnover. On the other hand, poor management systems and improper management of human resources lead to high operational costs incurred by the company.
Analysis of competitive strategies is done by re-designing the Business Model Canvas using Blue Ocean Strategy and creating new strategic goals and measuring business performance through a Balanced Scorecard analysis. The initial stage of this research is to determine the position of PT. XZ in industry competition based on critical success factors by conducting surveys, observations and interviews with company management.
Ten competitive factors in the transportation industry for the oil and gas sector in Indonesia have been identified which are then assessed to determine the current competitive position with the strategy canvas. In this study it was also found that the new BMC model of PT. XZ with 12 strategic objectives, consist of 2 strategic targets in the financial perspective, 2 strategic goals on the customer perspective, 5 strategic objectives on the perspective of the internal business process, and 3 strategic goals on the learning and growth perspective. By doing this research, it is expected that the company can run a more focused business so that the targets and objectives that have been previously set can be achieved.
