Abstract

Kota Surabaya merupakan kota terbesar kedua setelah Ibukota Jakarta, dengan kepadatan penduduk mencapai 3.110.187 juta jiwa. Padatnya penduduk membuat masyarakat lebih memilih menggunakan transportasi pribadi daripada angkutan massal. Sepinya peminat serta rendahnya pelayanan angkutan umum menjadi salah satu faktor pendukung pemilihan transportasi pribadi. Selain itu, tingkat kemacetan dan kecelakaan terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Alasan inilah yang membuat Pemerintah Kota Surabaya merencanakan proyek Angkutan Massal Cepat (AMC) berbasis listrik, yaitu trem. Dengan adanya trem diharapkan masyarakat Surabaya dapat memanfaatkan angkutan umum dengan lebih baik, sehingga mengurangi masalah-masalah yang ada di jalan. Beberapa metode dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data mengenai angkutan massal, seperti survey, observasi, dan studi literatur. Metode pertama yang dilakukan untuk rancangan trem ini adalah dengan melakukan survey terhadap angkutan massal yang sudah ada di lapangan, yaitu bus. Selanjutnya studi literatur pun dilakukan guna mendukung survey tersebut. Kedua metode tersebut dibandingkan sehingga menghasilkan kebutuhan-kebutuhan yang harus ada dalam sebuah angkutan massal, seperti butuhnya fasilitas penyandang cacat serta konfigurasi interior yang cocok dengan aktivitas dan sirkulasi pada angkutan massal. Penambahan konsep pun dilakukan untuk menarik minat masyarakat Surabaya terhadap angkutan massal. Konsep heritage diangkat dari rute-rute yang dibangun dalam proyek AMC. Dengan konsep tersebut, tidak hanya masyarakat Surabaya, melainkan wisatawan asing dapat tertarik untuk menaiki trem.

The city of Surabaya is the second largest city after the capital of Jakarta, with a population density of 3,110,187 million people. The density of the population makes people prefer to use private transportation rather than mass transit. The lack of enthusiasts as well as the low public transport service became one of the factors supporting the selection of private transportation. In addition, the level of congestion and accidents continue to increase from year to year. This is the reason why the Surabaya City Government is planning an Electricity-Based Mass Transit (AMC) project, ie tram. With the tram expected Surabaya people can take better public transportation, thereby reducing the problems that exist in the way. Several methods were used to obtain data on mass transit, such as surveys, observations, and literature studies. The first method used for this tram design is to survey the existing mass transit in the field, ie bus. Furthermore, literature studies were conducted to support the survey. Both methods are compared so as to produce the needs that must exist in a mass transit, such as the need for disabled facilities and interior configurations that match the activity and circulation of mass transit. The addition of the concept was also done to attract the people of Surabaya towards mass transportation. The heritage concept is lifted from the routes built into the AMC project. With the concept, not only the people of Surabaya, but foreign tourists can be interested to board the tram.
