Abstract

Honey beekeepers want to develop businesses by using electric
motors to speed up the harvesting process, but are constrained by
locations far from electricity sources.
To overcome this problem, we need a tool that can work using
an electric motor without using a PLN power source in a residential
area, and the price is very affordable. This tool is designed using a
DC motor as a driver of honey nest, and this tool is not supplied by
the PLN power source but uses solar energy as a source of electricity
which is then stored by batteries / accumulators. The working
principle of this tool is to utilize a centrifugal force, the honeycomb
will be inserted into the frame of the extractor tube then the
honeycomb will be rotated using a DC motor which causes the honey
to bounce out of the nest and attach to the extractor tube wall. Honey
attached to the wall of the tube will go down to the bottom of the tube
and be channeled out through the faucet, then the honey is collected
in the container.
The final project results in the form of a honey extractor that
utilizes solar energy and uses a DC motor that can remove honey
from its frame from speeds of 120 rpm to 1217 rpm. This tool also has
a water level sensor that has an error of 8.29%. The greater the
voltage received by a DC motor, the faster the rpm of a DC motor
and the greater the centrifugal force produced by the device..
