Abstract

Fan sentrifugal ini bentuknya menyerupai rumah keong dan mempunyai kapasitas yang relatif kecil, tetapi juga memiliki tekanan yang cukup besar. Jadi fan sentrifugal ini bisa diaplikasikan di dalam Lab. Konversi Energi DTMI-ITS sebagai kebutuhan sirkulasi udara.
Pada tugas akhir ini, perancangan ulang dimensi impeller dan volute casing pada fan sentrifugal dengan kapasitas desain sebesar 11000 m^3/hr dan kenaikan tekanan sebesar 950 Pa. Perhitungan head, daya, kecepatan spesifik, dimensi impeller dan dimensi volute casing dilakukakan secara analitis. Didapatkan head fan sebesar 79,526 m, daya sebesar 4 KW, kecepatan spesifik sebesar 12,287 1/detik. Sehingga dari hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih fan sentrifugal dengan impeller bersudu backward curved blades dengan diameter inlet sebesar 0,353 m, diameter outlet sebesar 0,4 m, sudut β_1= 69° sudut β_2= 30° dan jumlah sudu (z) = 36.

This fan sentrifugal resembles a conch house and has a relatively small capacity, but also has considerable pressure. So this centrifugal fan can be apllied in lab convertion energy DTMI-ITS as an air circulation requirement.
In this final project, it is obtained a redesign of the dimensions of the impeller and volute casing in a centrifugal fan with a design capacity of 11000 m^3/hr and a pressure increase of 950 Pa. Calculation of head, power, specific speed, impeller dimensions and volute casing dimensions are carried out analytically.On recalculation, the compressor head is as big as 79,526 m, the power is 4 KW, the specific speed is 12,287 1 / second. So from the results of these calculations can be selected centrifugal fan with an angled impeller foward curved blades with an inlet diameter of 0,353 m, outlet diameter of 0,4 m, angle =β_1= 69° angle = β_2= 30° and number of blades (z) = 36.
