Abstract
Korosi merupakan peristiwa pengrusakan logam secara alami yang disebabkan oleh interaksi elektrokimia dengan lingkungannya. Bahaya yang ditimbulkan oleh korosi sangat fatal terutama pada kapal, korosi dapat menyebabkan kegagalan pada struktur kapal yang menyebabkan kapal tidak dapat beroprasi sebagaimana mestinya. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen dengan menggunakan material uji Aluminium dimana material ini sering digunakan sebagai konstruksi kapal. AA7075 mempunyai sifat-sifat yang menguntungkan seperti tahan terhadap korosi, dapat di perlaku-panaskan, ketangguhan baik, serta sifat mampu las yang baik, sehingga banyak indusri maju menggunakan material ini sebagaibahan utama dalamperancangan alatmaupun konstruksi. Metode yang dapat diterapkan untuk mendapatkan aluminium dengan kekerasan dan kekuatan yang optimal antara lain dengan age hardening. Di dalam melakukan penelitian ini dibahas bagaimana pengaruh variasi temperatur perlakuan aging pada paduan aluminium 7075 terhadap uji laju korosi, uji kekerasan dan uji metalografi.
Paduan aluminium seri 7075 dipotong sesuai dengan standart ASTM. Pada tahap pertama aluminium seri 7075 diberi perlakuan panas dengan suhu 3000C selama 1 jam, kemudian diquenching dengan media pendingin berupa air. Selanjutnya diberi perlakuan panas kembali dengan variasi temperatur 150°C, 175°C, 200°C, 225°C, 250°C dengan media pendingin berupa air. Setelah hasil proses aging, dilakukan uji korosi, uji metalografi, dan uji kekerasan.

Corrosion is a natural metal destruction event caused by electrochemical interactions with the environment. The danger caused by corrosion is very fatal, especially on ships, corrosion can cause failure in the structure of the ship which causes the ship to not operate properly. This research is an experiment using Aluminum test material where this material is often used as ship construction. AA7075 has beneficial properties such as corrosion resistance, heat resistance, good toughness, and good weldability, so that many advanced industries use this material as the main ingredient in equipment design and construction. Methods that can be applied to obtain aluminum with optimal hardness and strength, among others, with age hardening. In conducting this research, it was discussed how the influence of temperature variation on aging treatment on 7075 aluminum alloy on corrosion rate test, hardness test and metallographic test.
The 7075 series aluminum alloy is cut according to ASTM standards. In the first stage aluminum 7075 series was given heat treatment at 3000C for 1 hour, then quenched with cooling media in the form of water. Furthermore, it was re-treated with temperature variations of 150 ° C, 175 ° C, 200 ° C, 225 ° C, 250 ° C with cooling media in the form of water. After the aging process results, corrosion tests, metallographic tests, and hardness tests are carried out.
