Abstract

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) merupakan pengompresan dari gas methane (CH4) dan gas ethane (C2H6) yang berasal dari gas alam dengan memberikan tekanan tinggi dan suhu rendah, yaitu 3600 psi dan<50oC untuk pengompresan gas alam yang dibeli dari plant PT. Pertamina di daerah Subang, Jawa Barat dan Perusahaan Gas Negara.Pembuatan CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) dari gas alam terdiri dari 3 Unit, yaitu Unit penghilangan gas asam dengan proses Chemical Solvent menggunakan solvent DEA, Unit Gas Dehydration dengan proses absorpsi menggunakan desikan cair TEG (Triethylene Glycol) dan Distilasi Fraksionasi, dan Unit Pengompresan dengan system Single Line Fast Fill menggunakan kompresor dengan pelumasan. Didapatkan kapasitas produksi dari perhitungan neraca masa untuk pabrik CNG sebesar 11 MMscfd (Million standard cubic feet per day) atau 311485,4 m3/hari. Pabrik beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 24 jam/hari, 330 hari operasi/tahun. Bahan pembantu berupa DEA sebanyak 2611,584 Kg/hari, TEG 24984,319 Kg/hari, dan air sebesar 647,147 m3/hari. ===================================================================================================== CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is a compressed methane (CH4) and ethane (C2H6) gases manufactured from natural gas by adding high pressure of 3600 psi and temperature lower than 50oC. The feedstock of natural gas compression is bought from a plant of PT. Pertamina in Subang, West Java, and Perusahaan Gas Negara.The manufacture of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) from natural gas consists of 3 units, includingAcid gas removal by chemical solvent process using DEA, Gas dehydration by absorption using TEG (Triethylene Glycol) as liquid desiccant and Fractionating Distillation, and Compressing Unit using Single Line Fast Fill system using compressor with lubrication. The production capacity result from mass balance calculation for CNG plant is 11 MMscfd (Million Million standard cubic feet per day) or 311485,4 m3/day. The plant operates continuously for 24 hour/day, 330 operating day/year. The supporting material of DEA is 2611,584 kg/day, TEG is 24984,319 Kg/day, andwateris 647,147 m3/day.
