Abstract
Seiring berkembangnya zaman dan kemajuan teknologi, pemerintah terus berupaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia guna menjawab tantangan persaingan global yang terjadi dalam dekade terakhir. Dengan demikian setiap harinya siswa dituntut untuk membawa bermacam keperluan sekolah sesuai dengan kegiatan yang telah dijadwalkan. Itulah kenapa tas adalah barang wajib yang harus dimiliki oleh para peserta didik sebagai alat untuk membawa keperluan sekolah mereka. Di sisi lain, hal ini memberi kesempatan yang menjanjikan bagi para pelaku UKM (Usaha Kecil Menengah) di Indonesia. Karena UKM merupakan salah satu potensi usaha yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan ditiap daerah. Maka dari itu, selain mendesain tas yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan para pelajar di Indonesia saat ini, penulis juga berharap dengan perancangan ini dapat pula membantu mengembangkan produk dari produsen tas skala UKM agar dapat bersaing di pasaran serta membuka peluang pasar baru. Melalui analisa bisnis dan juga konsep desain yang dirangkum dalam sebuah skema penelitian. Penambahan sistem modular pada tas akan menambah nilai fungsi dari sebuah tas sekolah, sehingga dapat menyesuaikan fungsi sesuai dengan kegiatan para pelajar. Konsep multifungsi inilah yang nantinya dapat mendukung aktivitas para pelajar sekolah.

As time and technology progress, the government continues to improve the quality of education in Indonesia in order to address the challenges of global competition that occurred in the last decade. Thus each day students are required to carry out a variety of school purposes in accordance with the activities that have been scheduled. That is why the bags are mandatory items that must be owned by the students as a means to bring their school needs. On the other hand, this provides a promising opportunity for the perpetrators of SMEs (Small and Medium Industry) in Indonesia. Because SMEs are one of the potential business that can improve wellbeing in each area. Therefore, in addition to designing handbags that suit the needs of students in Indonesia today, the authors also hope with this design can also help develop the products of SMEs scale handbag manufacturers in order to compete in the market and open up new market opportunities. Through business analysis and design concepts are summarized in a research scheme. The addition of a modular system in the bag will add value to the function of a school bag, so it can customize the functionality according to their activity. Multifunctional concept is what will be able to support the activities of the students of the school. so that it can adjust the functions according to their activity.
