Abstract

Proyek pembangunan Gendalo-Gehem Onshore
Receiving Facility (ORF) dilaksanakan untuk mengolah gas dan
minyak dari floating production unit (FPU) laut dalam baru,
yakni lapangan Gendalo dan lapangan Gehem di Blok Muara
Bakau. Gendalo-Gehem ORF akan dibangun di Tanjung Santan
dengan luas 31000 m2 yang meliputi: Area 1 dan Area 2. Pada
Area 1 akan dibangun peralatan Knock Out Drum, Closed Drain
Drum, Flare dan Metering Gas. Pada Area 2 akan dibangun
peralatan Pig Launcher. Proyek tersebut akan dibangun diatas
timbunan setinggi 3,5 – 6,5 m untuk mendapatkan elevasi yang
direncanakan yakni pada elevasi +13,5m.
Mengingat tanah dasar dimana proyek tersebut akan
dibangun merupakan tanah lempung yang memiliki daya dukung
yang kecil, pemampatan yang besar dan waktu konsolidasi yang
lama, maka perlu dilakukan perbaikan tanah untuk meningkatkan
daya dukungnya dan menghilangkan pemampatannya sebelum
ORF dibangun. Peningkatan daya dukung dilakukan dengan
memasang geotekstil pada timbunan, sedang pemampatan

dihilangkan dengan memberikan preloading dan PVD untuk
mempercepat waktu pemampatannya.
Penimbunan dilakukan secara bertahap dengan
kecepatan 60 cm/minggu. Untuk perkuatan tanah timbunan
digunakan geotekstile sebanyak 27 lapis pada area 1 dan 9 lapis
pada area 2. PVD dipasang sedalam 9,5 m dengan pola
pemasangan segitiga dan jarak antar PVD 1,5 m pada area 1
dan 1,1 m pada area 2. Untuk mencapai derajat konsolidasi (U)
90% dibutuhkan waktu 20 minggu untuk area 1 dan 13 minggu
pada area 2.
Jenis pondasi untuk peralatan Knock Out Drum, Closed
Drain Drum dan Flare di Area 1 adalah pondasi rakit dengan
ukuran 15,5 x 28 x 0,7; Untuk peralatan Metering Gas di area 1
adalah pondasi telapak 1,5 x 1,5 x 0,3 m. Sedangkan jenis
pondasi untuk peralatan Pig Launcher di area 2 adalah pondasi
telapak dengan ukuran 1 x 1 x 0,3 m.

Gendalo-Gehem Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF)
construction is aimed to cultivate both gas and oil which come
from floating production unit (FPU) deep sea, i.e. Gendolo and
Gehem field in Blok Muara Bakau. Gendolo-Gehem ORF are
going to be built in Tanjung Santan with 31000 m2 area of field
which is including area 1 and area 2. Some equipments such as
such as Knock Out Drum, Closed Drain Drum, Flare and
Metering Gas are going to be built in area 1, and Pig Launcher
in area 2. Gendalo-Gehem ORF project are going to be built on
3,5 – 6,5 m height embankment in order to obtain the expected
elevation (+ 13,5 m).
According to geotechnical survey results, it was obtained
that the area of subgrade is classified as soft clay soil which has
low bearing capacity, large number of compression, and wide
range of consolidation time. Hence, soil reparation is considered
both to increase the bearing capacity and to remove the
compression before ORF is built. Geotextile is used as the

enhancement of the bearing capacity whereas PVD and
preloading for removing the compression in order to accelerate
the compression time.
Landfill operation need to be done gradually for
60cm/week. The soil reinforcement is using 27 and 14 layers of
geotextile respectively in area 1 and area 2. The PVD installed in
9,5 m depth with triangle mounting pattern, while 1,5 m spacing
for the area 1 and 1,2 m for the area 2. In order to achieve 90%
of degree of consoidation, area 1 needs 20 weeks and area 2
meanwhile needs 13 weeks.
Type of foundation for Knock Out Drum, Closed Drain
Drum and Flare in area 1 is mat foundation with 15,5 x 28 x 0,7
m in dimension; and for Metering Gas equipment in area 1 is
spread footing foundation with 1,5 x 1,5 x 0,3 m in dimension.
Besides, Pig Launcher equipment in area 2 uses spread footing
foundation with 1 x 1 x 0,3 m in dimension.
