Abstract

Kegiatan masyarakat yang menyebabkan pencemaran air
seperti mencuci, mandi, air bekas cucian dapur dll merupakan
salah satu sumber pencemar air di badan air. Air limbah tersebut
langsung dibuang ke badan air tanpa diolah terlebih dahulu. Salah
satu sungai yang mengalami pencemaran adalah Kali Dami.
Masuknya limbah tanpa pengolahan, menyebabkan kualitas
badan air Kali Dami menurun. Kualitas air tersebut bertambah
buruk diakibatkan adanya pencemaran lain seperti sampah yang
dibuang masyarakat ke badan air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah
identifikasi kualitas air dan eksisting Kali Dami dengan metode
Qual2kw yang menggunakan 3 simulasi skenario kualitas air.
Parameter yang di uji meliputi Dissolved Oxygen (DO),
Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand
(COD), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Fosfat (PO4
3-), Nitrate (NO3)
dan Ammonium (NH4)
Hasil aplikasi metode Qual2Kw menunjukkan bahwa Kali
Dami mengalami pencemaran limbah organik. Hasil uji parameter
BOD melebihi baku mutu 15-21 mg/L dengan batas baku mutu 12
mg/L, parameter COD, TSS, Nitrat (NO3) dan Fosfat (PO43-)
berada di bawah baku mutu. Parameter DO berada di ambang
batas baku mutu 0 mg/L. Parameter Amonium (NxH4) nilai
melebihi baku mutu yaitu 14-20 mg/L dengan baku mutu yang
kualitas air sungai kelas 4 adalah 0,5 mg/L. ========== The object of this research is Kali Dami River in
Surabaya. There are many load entersin this river which are
coming from mall and domestic wastewater. This load decreases
the quality of water in this river and makes it dark colored and
turbid.
The aim of this research is to identify the quality of water
in Kali Dami using 3 (three) simulation scenarios of water quality
using Qual2Kw. Parameters used in this test are Dissolved
Oxygen (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical
Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Phosphat
(PO4
3-), Nitrate (NO3) and Ammonium (NH4).
The result of the Qual2Kw shown the existing condition of
water in Kali Dami has been polluted. Based on the result, BOD
concentration in Kali Dami was 15-20 mg/L which was above of
the water quality standard. COD, TSS, nitrat (NO3
-), and
phosphate (PO4
3-) concentration met the water quality standard.
DO concentration was 0 mg/L. Ammonium concentration (NH4)
was 14-20 mg/L which was above from the water quality standard
of fourth grade water quality.
