Abstract
Pencemaran air bersih dan bau yang tidak sedap
merupakan dampak negatif dari usaha peternakan babi secara
tradisional. Penduduk yang tinggal di sekitar peternakan babi
menuntut adanya penutupan usaha peternakan babi karena
pencemaran tersebut. Akibat penutupan sepihak oleh warga
sekitar, peternak tidak memiliki mata pencaharian lagi sehingga
tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. Perencanaan
instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL) dilakukan untuk membantu
peternak babi dalam mengelola limbah.
Perencanaan menggunakan data pengukuran lapangan
dan pemeriksaan kualitas limbah cair. Anaerobic baffled reactor
(ABR) dan constructed wetland (CW) merupakan unit yang relatif
murah untuk diterapkan. Biaya konstruksi dihitung dengan
menggunakan daftar harga satuan barang dan upah kerja
Pemerintah Kota Denpasar 2015.
Dimensi ABR dan CW yang diperoleh berturut-turut 3,4 m
x 1 m x 1,5 m dan 92 m x 1,8 m x 0,3 m. Biaya konstruksi untuk
ABR dan CW berturut-turut Rp 80.800.000,- dan Rp
195.800.000,-. Efluen dari kedua bangunan digunakan kembali
untuk kegiatan pembersihan kandang dan pemandian ternak.
Rasio B/C yang diperoleh untuk ABR dan CW berturut-turut yaitu
4,89 dan 2,27. =========== Water pollution from pig wastes and malodours
emanating from traditional pig farms is negative impact of pig
farming. Because of bad odour and water pollution, inhabitans
living near the pig farms insisted the pig farmers to shut the pig
farming. Since the pig farming is their only job, the stoppage will
leave them with no jobs and salaries. The design of wastewater
treatment plant for piggery wastewater is conducted to help pig
farmers manage the wastewater.
The design is using data of field measurement and
wastewater analysis. An anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) and a
constructed wetland (horizontal sub-surface flow) (CW) are lowcost
treatment plants such that they are becoming appropriate to
be applied for traditional pig farmers to manage pig waste. The
calculation of construction cost of the two units is conducted by
using the unit price of goods and wages (harga satuan barang
dan upah kerja) published by the government of Denpasar in
2015.
The dimension obtained for ABR and CW is 3.4 m x 1 m
x 1.5 m and 92 m x 1.8 m x 0.3 m, respectively. The construction
cost for ABR and CW is IDR 80,800,000.00 and IDR
195,800,000.00, respectively. The effluent generated from the two
units is utilised for barn and pig washing. The B/C ratio for ABR
and CW is 4.89 and 2.27, respectively
