Abstract

Sistem Perlindungan Eksternal dari bahaya sambaran petir yang
sudah di pasang di area lokasi Bandar Udara Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya
propinsi Kalimantan Tengah saat ini menggunakan metode jarak
perlindungan. Yaitu dengan menggunakan jarak perlindungan dengan
radius tertentu untuk masing masing peralatan penyalur petir yang
dipasang pada ketinggian tertentu. Metode ini mengikuti sebagaimana
yang sudah di sampaikan oleh data teknis dari peralatan yang sudah
dikeluarkan oleh pabrikan pembuat perangkat tersebut. Sistem
perlindungan petir yang digunakan juga harus tetap mengacu pada
standar yang berlaku. Dengan mengacu pada IEC 62305-3 sistem
perlindungan petir yang terpasang dilakukan pemodelan dengan
menggunakan metode yang sudah di sebutkan di dalam IEC 62305-3
yaitu dengan metode bola gelinding dan metode sudut perlindungan.
Setelah dilakukan pemodelan ternyata sistem yang sudah terpasang di
bandar udara masih belum mampu memenuhi kriteria dari IEC 62305-3
untuk melindungi area penunjang dari bandara Tjilik Riwut secara
keseluruhan. ========== The eksternal lightning protection sistem that have been installed
in Tjilik Riwut Airport of Palangka Raya, Central Borneo currently used
the radius of protection methode. This methode is use the radius of
protection with certain radius for each of lightning protection tower had
been installed with certain high from the earth level. This methode was
delivered on the technical datasheet from the product being used that
was issued by manufacturer of the product. The lightning protection
methode that been used should be refer to the aplicable standard. Refer
to the IEC 62305, the lightning protection that was installed in the Tjilik
Riwut Airport will be modeled to the methode that was delivered on IEC
62305-3, the methode is The Rolling Sphere methode, and the Angle of
Protection methode. And then, after the sistem being modeled the
lightning protection sistem that been used in Tjilik Riwut doesn’t meet
the criteria that was require on the standard to protect all the supporting
area of Tjilik Riwut Airport at all.
