Abstract

Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus that is transmitted from person to person through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Based on the East Java Provincial Health Office in 2016 there were 938 DHF cases in Surabaya City. The number of dengue cases in the city of Surabaya increases every year. Based on data from the Surabaya City Health Office in 2016 dengue cases in the city of Surabaya have increased compared to the previous year. Awareness of the increase in the number of cases in the following year needs to be increased, because until now the drug to kill dengue virus has not been found and a vaccine to prevent dengue is still in the trial stage. Therefore, in this study the 2016 number of dengue cases in Surabaya in 2016 will be used using the Generalized Poisson Regression (GPR) method. The factors that influence the number of dengue cases in the city of Surabaya are population density and the percentage of poor households.
