Abstract

Air conditioning (AC) adalah salah satu sistem untuk mendukung kenyamanan dan keselamatan penumpang pesawat terbang. Beberapa kemungkinan kerusakan yang terjadi pada AC pesawat terbang disebabkan oleh faktor umur dan faktor perawatan pesawat terbang. Saat ini permasalahan utama adalah airconditioning produce hot air on ground.berdasarkan data pilot report B737NG di GMF Aeroasia Penelitian membahas permasalahan pada AC pesawat agar dapat meminimalkan permasalahan air conditioning produces hot air. Tahapan pada penelitian ini adalah mempelajarisistem kerja AC pesawat terbang, mencari penyebab terjadinyapermasalahan menggunakan metoda RCFA, dan memberikansolusi terhadap permasalahan iniHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan air conditioning produce hot air on ground dikarenakan masuknya kotoran dalam Heat exchanger (Hx) yang kemudian menjalar masuk ke air cycle machine (ACM). Oleh sebab itu pembersihan Hx harus dilakukan dalam jangka waktu yang lebih pendek. Dalamstandard maintenance manualGMF-Aeroasia menunjukkan interval pembersihan Hx2000 FC, maka penjadwalan perawatan tersebut disarankan untuk diubah menjadi sekitar 1000 FC agar kondisi Hx menjadi lebih bersih.
========== Air conditioning (AC) is one of the systems to support passengers comfort and safety of aircraft. Some possible damage that will occur in the aircraft AC usually was caused by the age and maintenance system of the aircraft. Currently the main problem occurs is AC producing hot air on ground which is based on the data pilot reports of GMF for B737NG aircraft. The study discusses the problems in the aircraft AC in order to minimize the problems of air conditioning produces hot air on the ground. Stages of this research are to study the aircraft air conditioning systems, look for the cause of the problems by using RCFA, and provide solutions to this problems. Result of this study shows that the problem of air conditioning produce hot air on ground was due to the entrance of dirt in the heat exchanger (Hx) that drifts to the air cycle machine (ACM). Therefore, Hx cleaning should be done in a shorter period of time. This study recommends a shorter interval for Hx cleaning. If the standard maintenance manual GMF-AeroAsia shows cleaning interval of Hx is 2000 flight cycle (FC). then its should be converted into about 1000 FC so that the condition Hx be cleaner
