Abstract
Boiler merupakan bejana tertutup dimana panas
pembakaran dialirkan ke air sampai terbentuk air panas atau
steam. Superheater merupakan alat yang berfungsi untuk
menghilangkan kadar air dalam uap dengan cara menaikkan
temperatur uap jenuh sampai menjadi uap panas lanjut
(superheated vapour) yang kemuidan di uap panas lanjut ini di
alirkan untuk memutar turbin. Mengetahui peran boiler yang
penting bagi efisiensi siklus, maka perlu dilakukan analisis
performa boiler pada PLTU Unit 4 untuk mengetahui rata-rata
tingkat effectiveness tertinggi pada setiap pembebanan (50%,
75% dan 100%). Dengan demikian di ketahui efektivenes terbaik
bada pembebanan tersebut.
Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dan pembahasan
effectiveness Secondary Superheater, dengan data yang diambil
dalam tugas akhir ini adalah data rata-rata kondisi aktual boiler
kondisi sekarang. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan untuk
menghitung laju perpindahan pans adalam dengan Number of
Transfer Unit. Dari hasil hasil perhitungan diketahui bahwa ratarata
tingkat effectiveness tertinggi berada pad pembebanan 50%
dengan rata-rata nilai NTU 0,831003428, Cr 0,310407097 dan
Cr 0,837685402.

Boiler is a closed vessel in which the combustion heat
transferred to water until it becomes heated water or
steam.Superheater is a tool that serves to remove the water
content in the vapor by raising the temperature of saturated
steam to be further hot steam (superheated vapor, which is then
further steam is piped to turn turbines. Knowing that an
important role for the efficiency boiler cycles, it is necessary to
analyze the performance of the boiler at the power plant unit 4 to
determine the average highest level of effectiveness in every load
(50%,75% dan 100%). Thus to know the best effectiveness of the
loading it.
Based on calculation and discussions effectiveness boiler,
with data taken in this thesis is the average data of actual boiler
condition sekaran conditions. While the methods used to calculate
the rate of displacement pans is the Number of Transfer Unit.
From the results of the calculation result is known that on
average the highest level of effectiveness is at a loading of 50%
with an average value of NTU 0,831003428, Cr 0,310407097
and Cr 0,837685402.
