Abstract

==============================================================================================================================
Almost all loads installed in the electrical system are at low voltage levels. The use of power electronics results in deteriorating voltage and current waveforms in the system. Until now, the number of non-linear loads installed is increasing, and non-linear loads generally produce harmonics, where voltage and current waveforms are distorted and produce resonance. Until now, the most effective solution to overcome harmonic problems is to install a passive LC filter. Installing passive filters close to the load is believed to reduce harmonics caused by non-linear loads. This is necessary for research related to the implementation of the single-tuning passive filter itself. In this study, the design of a single-tuned LC passive filter that is in accordance with the most common harmonic interference conditions found in electrical systems will be designed, and considers the parameters of the use of capacitors and conductors on the many products of capacitors and conductors that are widely spread on the market. From the results of research on the implementation of a single tuning LC passive filter, a passive filter can reduce harmonics according to the harmonic order design of each of the passive filters.
