Abstract

Berdasarkan standar IEEE 1584-2002, yaitu mengenai panduan untuk melakukan perhitungan dan analisa dari bahaya arc flash pada sistem kelistrikan tegangan rendah dan tegangan menengah, maka dapat ditentukan nilai insiden energi arc flash, jarak aman atau FPB (Flash Protection Boundary) terhadap bahaya arc flash dan peralatan pelindung diri atau PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) yang dipakai sesuai kategori level insiden energi yang terjadi. Nilai insiden energi arc flash dapat dihitung dengan menggunakan arus bolted three-phase fault dan arc-clearing time yang ditentukan oleh pengaturan waktu pemutusan gangguan pada sistem proteksinya. Simulasi hubung singkat sistem kelistrikan PT PJB UP Cirata dilakukan menggunakan software ETAP, yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai arus bolted three-phase dan juga nilai arus hubung singkat untuk pengaturan koordinasi sistem proteksi rele arus lebih dan LVCB. Pada standar IEEE 1584-2002, dapat dikembangkan lagi dengan menggunakan metode perhitungan yang dimodifikasi, yaitu dengan mempertimbangkan berkurangnya kontribusi arus hubung singkat dan waktu pemadaman arc flash (arc-clearing time) sebagai parameter perhitungan nilai insiden energi. Dari hasil perhitungan insiden energi arc flash, misalnya pada bus BUS_20KV-1 dengan menggunakan perhitungan modifikasi didapatkan nilai insiden energi sebesar 3,693 cal/cm2, sedangkan menggunakan standar IEEE 1584-2002 didapatkan nilai insiden energi sebesar 3,851 cal/cm2. Dengan menggunakan perhitungan modifikasi, diperoleh nilai insiden energi yang lebih rendah.

Based on the IEEE 1584-2002 standard, which is about guidelines for carrying out calculations and analysis of the arc flash hazard on low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems, it can be determined the incident energy of arc flash, working distance or FPB (Flash Protection Boundary) against arc flash hazards and personal protective equipment or PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) that is used according to the category of energy incident levels that occur. The incident energy of arc flash can be calculated using bolted current three-phase fault and arc-clearing time which is determined by setting the interruption timing of the protection system. The short circuit simulation of the electrical system of PT PJB UP Cirata was carried out using ETAP software, which is to determine the current value of bolted three-phase and also the value of short-circuit current to regulate the coordination of overcurrent relay protection systems and LVCB. In the IEEE 1584-2002 standard, it can be further developed by using a modified calculation method, namely by considering the reduced contribution of short-circuit currents and arc-clearing time as a parameter for calculating the incidents energy. From the results of the calculation incidents energy of arc flash, for example on the BUS_20KV-1 bus using a modified calculation, the incident energy value is 3.693 cal/cm2, while using the IEEE 1584-2002 standard the incident energy value is 3.851 cal/cm2. Using a modification calculation, a lower value of incident energy is obtained.
