Abstract

Dalam penyaluran tenaga listrik dengan jarak yang jauh akan mengalami bermacam gangguan yang akan mempengaruhi kontinuitas pelayanan tenaga listrik, sehingga dibutuhkan kehandalan sistem agar penyaluran tenaga listrik menjadi optimal. Dilihat dari beberapa penyebab gangguan sistem tenaga listrik, khususnya pada PT. Indonesia Power UP Suralaya Unit 4, salah satunya yaitu gangguan arus lebih dibutuhkan koordinasi proteksi over current relay pada jaringan tegangan menengah dengan mempertimbangkan arc flash untuk mengamankan peralatan listrik pada jaringan tersebut. Lama waktu pemadaman busur api pada kondisi existing menyebabkan nilai insiden energi arc flash mencapai level 4, sehingga perlu dilakukan resetting hingga mencapai level 2 dan level 3. Berdasarkan perhitungan insiden energi arc flash dapat dikembangkan menjadi metode modifikasi yang menghasilkan nilai insiden energi arc flash yang lebih rendah karena dipertimbangkan kontribusi arus hubung singkat dalam masing-masing periode dan waktu pemadaman busur api. Nilai insiden energi arc flash tersebut digunakan dalam perhitungan jarak aman bagi pekerja yaitu antara 12 m hingga 13 m untuk tegangan 6,3 kV dan 2,5 m hingga 3m untuk tegangan 0,38 kV dan dapat dikelompokkan ke dalam beberapa kategori sesuai standar NFPA 70 E tahun 2015. Pengelompokan kategori nilai insiden energi arc flash tersebut berfungsi dalam menentukan alat pelindung diri yang harus digunakan.

In the distribution of electrical power with long distance, there will be a variety of disruption that will affect the continuity of electric power service, so that system reliability is needed so that the distribution of electric power becomes optimal. Several cause of the power system disruption , especially on PT. Indonesia Power UP Suralaya Unit 4, one of the disruption is over current disruption, so over current relay (OCR) protection coordination with considering arc flash is needed to protect the electrical equipment on the medium voltage. The length time of arc flash extinguishing on existing condition cause incident energy value reach level 4, so it needs to be resetting until it reaches level 2and level 3. Based on arc flash energy calculations can be developed into a modification method that produces the incident energy value lower because it is considered the current contribution of each period and time in arc flash extinguishing. The value of arc flash incident energy is used in calculating safe distance for workers are between 12 m until 13 m for 6,3 kV and 2,5 m until 3 m for 0,38 kV and can be grouped into several categories according to the 2015th NFPA 70E standard. The categories of arc flash incident energy value is used in determining the personal protective equipment that must be used.
