Abstract

PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan minyak dan gas bumi membutuhkan koordinasi proteksi sistem kelistrikan yang efektif dan selektif. Untuk meningkatkan keandalan sistem kelistrikan, PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan bekerja sama dengan PLN untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik. Adanya integrasi sistem kelistrikan dengan PLN mengakibatkan koordinasi proteksi pada PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan perlu dievaluasi kembali. Pada tugas akhir ini, koordinasi proteksi yang dievaluasi yaitu rele arus lebih untuk gangguan fasa dan untuk gangguan ke tanah serta rele diferensial sebagai pengaman ring bus dan pengaman transformator. Evaluasi setting koordinasi proteksi pada PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan ini perlu memperhatikan nilai arus dan waktu dalam keadaan normal maupun dalam keadaan gangguan kelistrikan. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan evaluasi setting koordinasi proteksi, di sisi kelistrikan beban, sisi ring bus dan sisi kelistrikan penambahan PLN. Hasil koordinasi proteksi ini dapat melindungi peralatan dari gangguan arus lebih yang berupa arus beban lebih dan arus hubung singkat. Selain itu, hasil koordinasi proteksi pada tugas akhir ini dapat melindungi peralatan utama seperti motor, transformator dan generator.

PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan as a company engaged in the processing of oil and gas requires effective and selective electrical system protection coordination. To improve the reliability of electrical system, PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan works with PLN to meet electricity needs. The integration of the electrical system with PLN resulted in coordination of protection at PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan needs to be re-evaluated. In this final project, protection coordination of overcurrent relay for phase fault, overcurrent relay for ground fault and differential relay as bus ring safety and transformer safety need to be evaluated. Evaluation of protection coordination settings at PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan need to consider the current and time values under normal conditions and in a state of electrical fault. In this final project, an evaluation of the protection coordination setting is carried out, on the side of the electrical load, the ring bus side and the electrical side of the integration of PLN. The results of this protection coordination can protect equipment from overcurrent fault in the form of overload currents and short circuit currents. In addition, the results of coordination of protection on this final project can protect the main equipment such as motor, transformer and generator.
