Abstract

===============================================================================================================================
In electric cars with independent drives, the drive motors are controlled respectively. Electric car with independent drives can cause differences in speed on each motor, especially when one motor gets a load. The electric motor used is a brushless DC motor, so that slips and skids occur. In order for two motors to have the same speed despite being given a load, a controller is needed to synchronize two motors. In this final project, will discuss the design of a brushless DC torque synchronization control system on a independent electric drive car. In designing this system Bi-Axial Cross Coupled technique is used. Bi-Axial Cross Coupled technique which is a continuation of the Cross Coupling technique. In the B-Axial Cross Coupled technique there is a block “sync”, which serve to synchronize. This “sync” block uses fuzzy logic. After testing and simulation, with a setpoint at 9000 rpm, a constant load of 2 Nm and a load varies at 0.15 Nm, 1.53 Nm, 0.2 Nm, and 1.14 Nm. The load is given to motor 1 or motor 2. The system response shows the same speed on both motors. It means slips and skids will not occur.
