Abstract

Potensi energi terbarukan dari tahun ke tahun semakin meningkat seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi-teknologi yang dapat mengoptimalkan pemasangan pembangkit energi terbarukan, khususnya Photovoltaic sebagai sumber energi terbarukan tenaga surya. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember merupakan kampus institut yang telah berdiri sejak tahun 1960. Seiring dengan perkembangan institut, maka bangunan-bangunan di lingkungan ITS semakin bertambah dari tahun ke tahun. Lokasi kampus ITS yang terletak pada kota Surabaya yang memiliki tingkat kecerahan matahari yang tinggi membuat kampus ITS sangat berpotensi untuk dapat menggunakan Photovoltaic sebagai sumber tenaga listrik mandiri dan dalam rangka mewujudkan ITS Green Campus. Namun sebelum adanya pemasangan Photovoltaic pada bangunan-bangunan di area kampus ITS, dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut terhadap investasi yang dapat dihasilkan terhadap rencana tersebut. Studi kelayakan ini akan membahas tentang analisis potensi dari pemasangan sistem PLTS rooftop pada bangunan-bangunan di kampus ITS dengan melihat tingkat iradiansi matahari pada kampus ITS sepanjang tahun yang disesuaikan dengan keadaan luasan atap dan arah hadap bangunan di kampus ITS. Setelah menentukan kelayakan bangunan-bangunan di kampus ITS, studi ini akan membahas lebih lanjut terhadap biaya investasi pemasangan sistem, beserta analisis keluaran daya yang dapat dihasilkan, harga jual listrik serta menganalisis dari aspek ekonomi terhadap pemasangan sistem PLTS rooftop di bangunan kampus ITS.

The potential of renewable energy is increasing year by year along with the development of technologies that can optimize the installation of renewable energy plants, especially Photovoltaic as the source of solar energy. Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology is an institute that has been established since 1960. Along with its development, the buildings in the campus area are increasing from year to year. ITS campus also located in the city of Surabaya which has a high level of sunshine which makes its very potential to enable Photovoltaic as a source of independent electricity and in order to achieve the ITS Green Campus. However, before the installation of Photovoltaic on ITS campus buildings, further research is needed on the investment that could be schemed on the plan. This study will discuss the potential analysis of the rooftop Photovoltaic system on ITS campus buildings by calculating the solar irradiance throughout the year which is adjusted to the roof area and buildings direction at the ITS campus. After determining the potential, this study will further discuss the investment costs of system installation, along with the analysis of power output that can be generated, electricity selling prices and the economic aspects of installing rooftop Photocoltaic systems on ITS campus buildings.
