Abstract
PT.

PT. PLN, as a state company in electricity distribution, is of course very responsible for progress and development in Indonesia. Every island that is of course is attempted to be electrified. One of the islands is West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) exceeding in Sintang district, which has an area of more than 20,000 km2 and inhabited by more than 360,000 inhabitants. In the world of electricity, of course we know the distribution system is the spearhead that deals directly with consumers. Based on sources from PT. PLN (Persero) growth in electricity consumption in West Kalimantan continues to increase, in the last 5 years an increase of 9% has been agreed. For this reason, a protection system for releases is needed that is installed along the electric power distribution channel. Evaluation on this safety system is very necessary to be able to support the performance of PT. PLN that will pass through the distribution system which will then be distributed to the population. In system regulation, coordination in the district requires complete, usable, backup, flow, emerging, and doable parameters, settings, releases, releases, installed in the distribution system. After an evaluation of the Sintang electrical system, there were improvements to the overcurrent pick up and instatene pickup. And recommended the addition of a differential relay. so that after the distribution system evaluation has a protection relay that is reliable, selective, fast and precise.
