Abstract
Komponen Saluran Distribusi Sangat Diperhatikan Salah Satunya Insulator. Insulator Berfungsi Sebagai Penyangga Saluran Udara Tegangan Menengah (SUTM) Serta Mengisolasi SUTM Dengan Menara (Tiang). Faktor Lingkungan Akan Mempengaruhi Kinerja Dari Insulator Dan Setiap Daerah Memiliki Karakteristik Masing-Masing Sehingga Karakteristik Elektrik Setiap Insulator Akan Berbeda. Maka Dari Itu, Dilakukan Penelitian Mengenai Karakteristik Elektrik Insulator Tegangan 20 Kv Tiap Penyulang Yang Diampu Oleh PLN ULP Giri Dengan Mewakili Seluruh Daerah Di Gresik. Gresik Sendiri Memiliki 4 Macam Daerah Yaitu Daerah Industri, Rumah Tangga, Perkotaan, Dan Pedesaan. Pada Pengujian Arus Bocor, Daerah Industri Mendapatkan Predikat Paling Tinggi Dengan Nilai Arus Bocor Sebesar 1.22 Ma Sedangkan Arus Bocor Terendah Berada Pada Daerah Rumah Tangga Sebesar 0.44 Ma. Hal Tersebut Juga Dikuatkan Dengan Nilai NSDD Daerah Industri Paling Tinggi Sebesar 0.2412 Mg/Cm 2 Serta NSDD Daerah Rumah Tangga Paling Rendah Sebesar 0.0228 Mg/Cm 2 . Untuk Tegangan Flashover Dan Tahanan Isolasi Tertinggi Berada Di Daerah Pedesaan Sebesar 53.4 Kv Dan 261.33 GΩ Serta Flashover Terendah Berada Di Daerah Rumah Tangga Sebesar 39.34 Kv Dan 118.83 GΩ.

Components of the distribution overhead line are considered one of the insulators. The insulator functions as a buffer for the Medium Voltage Overhead Line and isolates the distribution overhead line with the tower (pole). Environmental factors will affect the performance of the insulator and each region has its own characteristics so that the electric characteristics of each insulator will be different. Therefore, a study of the electric characteristics of a 20 kV voltage insulator is carried out on each feeder managed by PLN ULP Giri by represented all regions in Gresik. Gresik itself has 4 types of regions, there are industrial, household, urban and rural areas. In testing leakage currents, industrial areas get the highest predicate with a leakage current value of 1.22 mA while the lowest leakage current is in the household area of 0.44 mA. This is also corroborated by the highest NSDD value of industrial areas of 0.2412 mg/cm2 and the lowest NSDD of household areas of 0.0228 mg/cm2. The highest flashover and isolation stresses were in rural areas of 53.4 kV and 261.33 GΩ and the lowest flashover was in the household area of 39.34 kV and 118.83 GΩ.
