Abstract

East Java Province is one of the regions in Indonesia that has a high Infant Mortality Rate and Child Mortality Rate. It is feared that the infant mortality rates and child mortality rates in East Java can increase beyond the target set by SDG's. From these problems can be solved by using the Bivariate Gamma Regression method to determine the predictor variables that affect the Infant Mortality Rate and Child Mortality Rate. The data used came from the East Java Pubic Health Office in the form of the publication of the Public Health Profile of East Java Province in 2017. Predictor variables that affect the Infant Mortality Rate are the percentage variable labor by health workers, percentage of low birth weight babies, and percentage of proverty society. Predictor variables that affect the Child Mortality Rate, are percentage of births by health workers, percentage of obstetric complications handled, percentage of low birth weight babies, the percentage of proverty society, and percentage of married women under 17 years of age
