Abstract
Perguruan Tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Terdapat tiga jalur masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) di Indonesia, salah satunya yaitu Seleksi Ujian Tulis. Dengan jumlah peminat yang sangat tinggi dan daya tampung yang sangat terbatas, menyebabkan ketatnya persaingan dalam Seleksi Ujian Tulis. Program studi yang ditawarkan sangat banyak dengan tingkat keketatan yang berbeda-beda. Angka keketatan ini sangat erat kaitannya dengan variasi jumlah pendaftar antar prodi, dimana variasi tersebut disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi peserta dalam memilih suatu prodi. Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi angka keketatan prodi PTN dalam Seleksi Ujian Tulis tahun 2018 dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan variabel dummy dan didapatkan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap angka keketatan yaitu rasio dosen terhadap mahasiswa, status pengelolaan PTN, domisili PTN, akreditasi prodi dan akreditasi PTN. Namun model regresi linier berganda ini tidak memenuhi asumsi residual sehingga dilakukan analisis regresi robust LTS dan didapatkan hasil semua variabel prediktor berpengaruh signifikan terhadap angka keketatan prodi. =================================================================================================================================
University has an important role in creating quality human resources. There are three entry points for Indonesian Public University, one of which is written test selection. High number of enthusiasts and very limited capacity cause intense competition in Written Exam Selection. There are many study programs offered with varying degrees of rigor. This tightness number is very closely related to the variation in the number of applicants among study programs, where the variation is caused by several factors that influence participants in choosing a study program. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the tightness of Public University study programs in written test selection 2018 by using multiple regression analysis with dummy variables and found the factors that significantly influence the number of tightness, namely the ratio of students to lecturers, public university management status, public university domicile, study program accreditation and public university accreditation. However, this multiple linear regression model does not meet the residual assumptions so that a robust LTS regression analysis is carried out and the results of all predictor variables have a significant effect on the tightness of the study program.
