Abstract

Geopolimer berbasis abu layang PT. IPMOMI berhasil disintesis dengan variasi konsentrasi NaOH 10 M, 11 M, 12 M, 13 M, dan 14 M. Geopolimer yang telah berumur 7 hari dan 28 hari dilakukan pengujian kuat tekan, XRD, SEM dan pH untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan konsentrasi NaOH yang berbeda. Hasil uji kuat tekan mengalami peningkatan dari usia 7 hingga 28 hari. Hasil analisis XRD mengindikasikan adanya penurunan fasa kristalin atau semakin banyaknya fasa amorf dengan semakin besarnya konsentrasi NaOH yang ditambahkan. Pembacaan SEM yang dilakukan pada geopolimer menunjukkan masih adanya partikel abu layang yang belum bereaksi. Penambahan konsentrasi NaOH 12 M memberikan kuat tekan terbaik sebesar 48,4 Mpa dibandingkan dengan variasi yang lain. Oleh karena itu, geopolimer dengan variasi konsentrasi NaOH tersebut kemudian dilakukan variasi rasio S/L 3,1; 3,6; 4,1; dan 4,6 yang selanjutnya juga dilakukan uji setting time dan kuat tekan. Geopolimer dengan rasio 3,6 memberikan hasil kuat tekan terbaik dengan nilai sebesar 44,59 Mpa.

Geopolymers based on fly ash PT. IPMOMI was successfully synthesized by varying the concentration of 10 M, 11 M, 12 M, 13 M and 14 M NaOH. Geopolymers aged 7 days and 28 days were tested for compressive strength, XRD, SEM and pH to determine the effect of adding different concentrations NaOH. The compressive strength test results have increased from ages 7 to 28 days. The results of the XRD analysis indicated a decrease in the crystalline phase or the increasing number of amorphous phases with the greater concentration of NaOH added. SEM readings carried out on geopolymers show that there are still fly ash particles that have not reacted. The addition of NaOH 12 M concentration gave the best compressive strength of 48.4 Mpa compared to other variations. Therefore, geopolymers with variations in NaOH concentration were then carried out by variations of the S / L ratio of 3.1; 3,6; 4.1; and 4.6 which then also tested the setting time and compressive strength. Geopolymer with a ratio of 3.6 gives the best compressive strength with a value of 44.59 MPa.
