Abstract

Penelelitian yang berjudul “Pembuatan Material Termoelektrik Tipe-N BiTe dengan Metode Hot press untuk Menentukan Properti Termolektrik” bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara pembuatan material termolektrik, mengetahui hasil uji XRD dan properti termoelektrik, mengetahui sampel dengan properti termoelektrik terbaik. Pembuatan dilakukan dengan metode Hot press. Sampel serbuk dimasukkan ke dalam cetakan kemudian cetakan dimasukkan ke dalam mesin hot press. Proses hot press terjadi dibawah tekanan gas argon dengan tekannan 24,5MPa. Kemudian uji XRD dilakukan untuk mengetahui struktur kristal dan parameter kisi sampel. Semua sampel memiliki struktur kristal berbentuk heksagonal. Pengujian properti termoelektrik menggunakan alat ukur ZEM3 dan kompor listrik. Sampel BiTe hot press 400°C memiliki nilai koefisien Seebeck tertinggi 39,8 V/µK, resisitivitas listrik terendah 5,6 mΩ cm, konduktivitas termal terendah 28,8 W/mK. Sampel BiTe hot press 450°C memiliki nilai koefisien Seebeck tertinggi 63,8 V/µK, resisitivitas listrik terendah 1,29 mΩ cm, konduktivitas termal terendah 23,5 W/mK. Sampel BiTe hot press 500°C memiliki nilai koefisien Seebeck tertinggi 71,5 V/µK, resisitivitas listrik terendah 1,52 mΩ cm, konduktivitas termal terendah 27,8 W/mK. Dari pengukuran properti termoelektrik, maka didapatkan nilai figure of merit. Nilai figure of merit menyatakan peroforma material termoelektrik tersebut. Sampel dengan nilai figure of merit atau properti termoelektrik terbaik yaitu sampel BiTe 500°C dengan nilai figure of merit 0,004 pada temperatur ruang.

All samples have a hexagonal crystal structure. Testing of thermoelectric properties using a ZEM3 measuring instrument and electrical stove. The BiTe hot press 400 ° C sample has the highest Seebeck coefficient value of 39.8 V / µK, the lowest electrical resistivity is 5.6 mΩ cm, the lowest thermal conductivity is 28.8 W / mK. The BiTe hot press 450 ° C sample has the highest Seebeck coefficient value of 63.8 V / µK, the lowest electrical resistivity is 1.29 mΩ cm, the lowest thermal conductivity is 23.5 W / mK. The BiTe hot press 500 ° C sample has the highest Seebeck coefficient value of 71.5 V / µK, the lowest electrical resistivity of 1.52 mΩ cm, the lowest thermal conductivity of 27.8 W / mK. From the measurement of thermoelectric property, the value of figure of merit is obtained. The value of the figure of merit states the perform of the thermoelectric material. The sample with the value of figure of merit or the best thermoelectric property is the BiTe 500 ° C sample with the value of figure of merit 0.004 at room temperature.
