Abstract
In this research, the influence of molar cations
ratio at barium titan synthesis by sol- gel method, have
been investigated.
Barium titan were prepare by direct mixing between
aqueous solution of Barium ni trat and Titanium etoksida
at pH ± 1,5 followed by stirring until the sol solution
is formed. Gel made with stirred and heated at the
temperature around 50° C and 60 °C. Concerning the
observation of Ba?+ and Ti 4+ molar cation ratio in this
research are 0,15 : 1; 0,16 : 1; 0,18 : 1 ; 0,20 : 1 and
0,22 1. Xerogel forms were obtained by heating of gel
at temperatur 90°C. The next, annealing phase should be
done for 24 hours at 700°C in order to be obtained BaTi03
powder. The synthesis product were characterized by x-ray
diffraction and surface area determined with BET method
in the solution.
The result of x-ray diffraction show that the
optimum BaTi03 powder is formed at the molar cation ratio
15 : 1. In this ratio is obtained either the surface area
value 969,68 m?/gram.
