Abstract

Metode magnetotellurik (MT) merupakan metode geofisika pasif yang memanfaatkan medan elektromagnetik alam sebagai sumber yang menginduksi batuan yang ada di bumi dan terekam di alat pengukuran. Pada umumnya metode MT merupakan metode geofisika untuk identifikasi bentuk bawah permukaan secara 1D (sounding). Seiring berjalannya waktu, dibutuhkan informasi struktur bawah permukaan yang detail berdasarkan data pengukuran MT. Pengukuran MT memiliki biaya tinggi dan terkadang menjadi kendala dalam kegiatan eksplorasi. Salah satu metode untuk mendapatkan model 3D data MT yaitu dengan metode geostatistik. Metode geostatistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kriging dan Two Point Statistic (TPS). Dalam pemodelan 3D resistivitas digunakan 3 jenis model variogram yaitu variogram exponential, variogram gaussian, dan variogram spherical. Model 3D yang dihasilkan dikorelasikan dengan geologi regional dan hasil inversi 1D MT dan inversi 2D MT. Perbandingan metode geostatistik dengan variogram yang berbeda menunjukkan bahwa pada data inversi 1D MT metode geostatistik TPS dengan variogram spherical memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode kriging dan variogram exponential ataupun variogram gaussian.

The magnetotelluric (MT) method is a passive geophysical method that utilizes natural electromagnetic fields as a source that induces rocks present on the earth and is recorded in a measuring device. In general, the MT method is a geophysical method for identifying 1D subsurface forms (sounding). Over time, detailed subsurface structure information is needed based on MT measurement data. MT measurement has high costs and sometimes becomes an obstacle in exploration activities. One method for obtaining the 3D MT data model is the geostatistical method. The geostatistical method used in this study is the kriging method and Two Point Statistics (TPS). In 3D resistivity modeling 3 types of variogram models are used, namely exponential variogram, gaussian variogram, and spherical variogram. The resulting 3D model is correlated with regional geology, the result of 1D MT inversion and 2D MT inversion. Comparison of geostatistical methods with different variogram shows that in 1D inversion data MT the geostatistical method of TPS with spherical variogram gives better results compared to the kriging method and exponential variogram or gaussian variogram.
