Abstract

Berdasarkan informasi pada prasasti Canggu 1280 S, diketahui bahwa daerah Terung merupakan salah satu pelabuhan di tepi sungai Brantas pada masa Majapahit. Ditemukanya situs yang diduga berfungsi sebagai dermaga memunculkan dugaan keberadaan sungai besar didaerah tersebut pada masa lampau. Untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan sungai tersebut, digunakan metode geolsitrik resistivitas 2D konfigurasi Wenner serta analisis XRF untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan paleochannel berdasarkan pola sedimen di daerah penelitian dan karakteristik sedimen penutupnya. Digunakan 8 lintasan geolistrik dengan konfigurasi Wenner dan 4 sampel sedimen pada kedalaman 0.6m, 1.2m dan 1.8 m untuk dilakukan analisis XRF. Hasil pengolahan data resistivitas 2D diperoleh 3 rentang nilai resistivitas, 1Ω.m -10 Ω.m diinterpretasikan sebagai lapisan lempung, 11.5 Ω.m -30 Ω.m diinterpretasikan sebagai lapisan lempung pasiran dan 35 Ω.m – 70 Ω.m diinterpretasikan sebagai lapisan pasir dengan campuran kerikil. Hasil analisis XRF menunjukkan sampel sedimen memiliki kandungan unsur dalam bentuk oksida berupa Al2O3 (12%-14%), SiO2 (43.2%-47.6%), K2O (0.79%-0.88%), CaO (7.55%-15.2%), TiO2 (1.6%-1.9%), V2O5 (0.068%-0,091%), MnO (0.39%-0,504%), Fe2O3 (23.8%-28.6%), CuO (0.11%-0.14%), ZnO (0.03%-0,039%), SrO (0.21%-0.479%), ZrO2(0.02%-0.073%), BaO (0.1%-0.2%), dan Re2O7 (0.04%-0.07%). Dugaan keberadaan paleochannel terdapat pada kedalaman 4-10m pada daerah penelitian yang ditunjukkan dengan zona resisitivtas tingi (35 Ω.m – 70 Ω.m) yang diinterpretasikan sebagai lapisan pasir dengan campuran kerikil. Sumber sedimen penutup paleochannel diduga berasal dari batuan beku mafic jenis basalt

Based on information on the Canggu 1280 S inscription, it is known that Terung is one of the ports on the banks of the Brantas river during the Majapahit period. The discovery of a site that allegedly functioned as a pier give allegations of the existence of a large river in the area in the past. To identify the existence of the river, Wenner's 2D configuration of geolsitric resistivity method and XRF analysis were used to identify the presence of paleochannel based on sedimentary patterns in the study area and the characteristics of the sediment cover. 8 geoelectric lines with Wenner configuration and 4 sediment samples were used at 0.6m, 1.2m and 1.8m depths for XRF analysis. The results of 2D Resistivity data model obtained 3 ranges of resistivity values, 1 Ω.m -10 Ω.m interpreted as a clay layer, 11.5 Ω.m -30 Ω.m interpreted as a sandy clay layer and 35 Ω.m - 70 Ω. m is interpreted as sand with gravel mixture layer. The XRF analysis results showed that sediment samples contained oxide elements consist of Al2O3 (12% -14%), SiO2 (43.2% -47.6%), K2O (0.79% -0.88%), CaO (7.55% -15.2%), TiO2 (1.6% -1.9%), V2O5 (0.068% -0.091%), MnO (0.39% -0.504%), Fe2O3 (23.8% -28.6%), CuO (0.11% -0.14%), ZnO (0.03% -0.039) %), SrO (0.21% -0.479%), ZrO2 (0.02% -0.073%), BaO (0.1% -0.2%), and Re2O7 (0.04% -0.07%).The presumption of the existence of a paleochannel is at a depth of 4m-10m in the study area as indicated by a high resistance zone (35 Ω.m - 70 Ω.m) which is interpreted as sand with a gravel mixture layer. The source of the paleochannel cover sediment is originatefrom basalt mafic igneous rocks.
