Abstract

Sintesis membran komposit Cs/NPHCs/MWCNT/MMT telah berhasil dilakukan dengan metode penguapan pelarut. Pada penelitian ini, kitosan/phthaloyl chitosan (Cs/NPHCs) digunakan sebagai matriks, dan montmorillonite (MMT) yang termodifikasi multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) digunakan sebagai filler. Membran komposit hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan FTIR, XRD, dan AFM. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan penambahan filler pada matriks Cs/NPHCs mengakibatkan penurunan kristalinitas dan peningkatan kekasaran permukaan membran komposit. Membran komposit Cs/NPHCs/MWCNT/MMT 10% merupakan membran komposit dengan derajat kristalinitas paling rendah dan kekasaran permukaan paling tinggi yaitu 11,28% dan 93,1 nm.

Synthesis of the Cs/NPHCsMWCNT/MMT composite membranes have been successfully done via solvent evaporation method. In this research, chitosan/phthaloyl chitosan (Cs/NPHCs) used as a matrix, and montmorillonite modified MWCNT as filler. The composite membranes characterized by FTIR, XRD, and AFM. The results of characterization revealed addition filler to Cs/NPHCs matrix caused decreasing crystallinity and increasing surface roughness of the composite membranes. Composite membrane Cs/NPHCs/MWCNT/MMT 10% is the composite membrane with lowest degree of cristallinity and highest surface roughness that 11.28% and 93,1 nm, respectively.
