Abstract

Energi panas bumi merupakan salah satu sumber energi yang sudah mulai banyak dikembangkan sebagai penghasil energi listrik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Dalam eksplorasi panas bumi, salah satu metode geofisika yang paling sering digunakan adalah metode magnetotelurik. Metode ini paling sering digunakan karena kemampuan penetrasi kedalamannya yang cukup dalam untuk menggambarkan kondisi bawah permukaan. Telah dilakukan processing data Magnetotelurik studi kasus lapangan Tangkuban Perahu PT. TPGP. Inversi tersebut dilakukan dengan dua orientasi, yaitu timur laut - barat daya dan Barat-Timur. Inversi dilakukan pada 9 lintasan, dengan masing-masing lintasan diiterasi sebanyak 30 kali. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Smoothness ratio harus bernilai lebih besar dari namun tidak lebih dari dua (1<χ≤2), karena data penelitian memiliki variasi resitivitas lateralnya tinggi. Smoothing factor tidak terlalu berpengaruh pada hasil karena data sudah di-pre-processing. Depth smoothing harus bernilai 0.1 – 1 karena data memiliki kontras resistivitas antar lapisan yang besar. Parameter yang digunakan untuk semua lintasan yaitu smoothing factor 0.2, depth smoothing 0.5, dan smoothness ratio 2.

Geothermal energy has become one of the renewable energy sources increasingly developed for electricity generation to meet growing energy demands. In geothermal exploration, the magnetotelluric (MT) method is one of the most widely used geophysical techniques because of its ability to investigate subsurface structures at considerable depths. This study presents the processing and inversion of magnetotelluric data acquired in the Tangkuban Perahu geothermal field operated by PT TPGP. Data inversion was performed along two survey orientations, namely northeast–southwest and west–east, covering nine survey lines, with each line iterated 30 times during the inversion process. The results indicate that the optimal smoothness ratio should be greater than 1 but not exceed 2 (1 < χ ≤ 2), reflecting the high lateral resistivity variations observed in the study area. The smoothing factor has only a minor influence on the inversion results because the data had undergone appropriate preprocessing before inversion. In contrast, the smoothing depth should range between 0.1 and 1 to properly represent the significant resistivity contrasts between subsurface layers. Based on the inversion analysis, the optimal parameter settings for all survey lines consist of a smoothing factor of 0.2, a smoothing depth of 0.5, and a smoothness ratio of 2.
