Abstract
Pegawai perpustakaan pusat ITS bagian pelayanan buku referensi bertugas melayani semua kebutuhan mahasiswa dan civitas akademik terhadap kebutuhan buku referensi Tugas Akhir, dengan banyaknya aktivitas yang dilakukan sangat berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas dari suatu pekerjaan. Produktivitas pekerja dapat diukur dari seberapa banyaknya pegawai tersebut bekerja dalam melakukan pelayanan buku di perpustakaan, apakah pegawai tersebut lebih banyak menganggur atau lebih banyak bekerja. Waktu menganggur tersebut tentunya dapat menurunkan produktivitas dari pegawai, sehingga untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal dalam hal meningkatkan produktivitas pegawai, maka digunakan metode sampling kerja. Jumlah pengamatan yang dilakukan sebanyak 576 kali pengamatan selama 14 hari, dimana dalam satu hari pengamatan dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah istirahat. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu persentase bekerja pada pegawai perpustakaan bagian referensi sebesar 42% dan persentase tidak bekerja sebesar 58%. Waktu standar yang didapatkan yaitu sebesar 5 menit 30 detik/ mahasiswa dan output standar 12 mahasiswa/jam.

ITS central library staff in the service section of the reference book are in charge of serving all the needs of students and academic community towards the needs of the Final Project reference book, with the number of activities carried out greatly influencing the productivity of a job. Worker productivity can be measured by how much the employee works in doing book service in the library, whether the employee is more unemployed or more working. The idle time can certainly reduce the productivity of employees, so to get optimal results in terms of increasing employee productivity, the work sampling method is used. The number of observations made was 576 observations for 14 days, during which one observation was carried out before and after the break. The results obtained are the percentage of work on the library staff reference section by 42% and the percentage not working at 58%. The standard time obtained is 5,381 minutes / student and the standard output is 12 students / hour.
