Abstract
Melimpahnya sumber daya mineral di Indonesia, harus diikuti dengan teknologi pengolahan mineral yang efektif dan efisien. Salah satu sumber daya yang melimpah adalah Nickel Laterit. Analisis permodelan dan simulasi pada reaktor Mini Blast Furnace (MBF) dilakukan sebagai dasar untuk mencapai pengolahan mineral yang optimal. Mini blast furnace merupakan upaya pengembangan teknologi pengolahan mineral dengan penerapan prinsip blast furnace. Proses pengolahan mineral pada MBF dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah sudut bosh. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 variasi sudut bosh yaitu 90º, 86º, dan 82º. Analisis dari penelitian ini menggunakan DEM-CFD coupled model. Setelah dilakukan simulasi dan pengolahan data, variasi sudut bosh berdampak pada distribusi burden material yang juga mempengaruhi nilai tekanan dan kecepatan gas. Semakin kecil sudut bosh menyebabkan kuantitas burden material pada zona central menjadi banyak. Pressure drop dan kecepatan gas semakin meningkat, dengan adanya pegecilan inner diameter yang disebabkan oleh pengecilan kemiringan sudut bosh

The abundance amount of resources in indonesia, must be followed by effective and efficient mineral processing technology. One of them abundant resources is Nickel Laterite. Modeling and simulation analysis of the Mini Blast Furnace (MBF) reactor was carried out as a basis for achieving optimal mineral processing. MBF is an effort to develop mineral processing technology by applying the blast furnace principle. Mineral processing in MBF is influenced by several factors, one of them is the bosh angle. This study use 3 bosh angle variations namely 90o, 88o, and 86o. DEM-CFD coupled model were used to analyze this study. It is obtained that the variations of bosh angle have an impact on the distribution of the burden material which also affects the gas pressure and velocity values. The smaller the bosh angle causes the burden material quantity in the central zone to be many. Pressure drop and gas velocity are increasing, with a reduction in inner diameter cause by a reduction in the bosh angle.
