Abstract

In the development of life today, there are many problems that can be overcome with technology. One of the things that can be observed is the world of health. And in this world of health, the most important thing to observe is the condition of human emotions. This is because the condition of human emotions is very closely related to human health conditions, in addition to the early anticipation of the condition of human emotions can be used as a therapy for natural medicine. In the medical world human emotion conditions can be observed with an EEG device, where the tool observes the brain's response through electrical signals released. Observation with EEG is an observation with a fairly fast response because this control of human motion always starts from the human brain. In this study, the classification of human emotion conditions, namely sad and happy emotions, was based on EEG signals by extracting time domain features. This research was conducted on 12 people (7 men and 5 women). The features used include the Mean feature, standard deviation and Number Of Peaks. Extraction of these features is performed on frequency bands alfa (α) and beta (β) in 4 channels, namely AF3, O1, O2 and AF4. Next is the classification of emotions using the Naïve Bayes Method. From the results of the study note that by using the Mean feature the best accuracy results are obtained, which is around 87.5% in beta frequency or a combination of alfa and beta, which in this case is done with a testing option of 66%.
