Abstract

Geothermal can be one of the newest alternative energy sources to replace fossil fuels. This study aims to identification of geothermal potential in the Songgoriti of Batu City which is included in the list of Geothermal Working Areas (WKP) in East Java. The method used in this study is the geoelectric method with the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration to determine the measured resistivity distribution value and the character of the geothermal region through the results of 2D modeling using Res2dinv software. Geoelectric data measurements used a multicable system for 7 tracks with 160 m, 240 m, 240 m, 96 m, 96 m, 24 m, and 96 m respectively and 5 m, 5 m, 5 m, 4 m, 3 m, 1 m, and 3 m between electrodes. From the results of data processing, the distribution of resistivity values in the range 0.166 Ωm - 36747 Ωm with rock structures such as sandy clay, sandy silt, sandy tuff, tuffaceous breccia, and agglomerates. Agglomerate layers are thought to function as fluid heaters in geothermal systems in this region.
