Abstract
Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (2016) kebutuhan trinatrium fosfat Indonesia mengalami kenaikan. Perkiraan konsumsi trinatrium fosfat di Indonesia pada tahun 2022 sebesar 87.598 ton/tahun. Semakin besarnya konsumsi trinatrium fosfat akan memberikan peluang untuk mendirikan sebuah pabrik Trinatrium Fosfat. Dalam mendirikan suatu pabrik, perlu dilakukan seleksi dari beberapa proses yang ada. Pembuatan trinatrium fosfat pada perancangan pabrik ini menggunakan proses yang telah di pilih yaitu Proses Netralisasi. Pertimbangannya karena proses yang di pilih ini merupakan proses yang memudahkan dalam proses netralisasinya, dan biayanya relatif lebih murah. Proses Netralisasi ini dibagi menjadi tiga proses yaitu proses netralisasi, proses kristalisasi, dan proses pengeringan. Proses netralisasi yaitu terjadi reaksi asam fosfat dengan natrium karbonat menjadi dinatrium fosfat kemudian larutan dinatrium fosfat direaksikan dengan natrium hidroksida sehingga membentuk larutan trinatrium fosfat. Proses kedua adalah proses kristalisasi yaitu larutan trinatrium fosfat dari reaktor akan diumpankan menuju evaporator untuk dipekatkan, setelah cairan pekat akan dialirkan menuju crystallizer untuk dikristalkan. Hasil dari proses kristalisasi berupa kristal trinatrium fosfat yang dibawa menuju ke rotary dryer untuk menuju ke proses selanjutnya yaitu proses pengeringan. Hasil dari perancangan Pabrik Trinatrum Fosfat ini adalah bertempatkan di Kawasan Industri Gresik. pabrik ini beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 300 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Bahan baku Asam Fosfat diambil dar PT. Petrokimia Gresik dan Natrium Karbonat diambil dari PT. Kaltim Sahid Baritosoda Kimia.

Based on data from Badan Pusat Statistik (2016) Indonesia's demand for trisodium phosphate has increased. Estimated consumption of trisodium phosphate in Indonesia in 2022 is 87,598 tons/year. The greater consumption of trisodium phosphate will provide an opportunity to establish a Trisodium Phosphate plant. In setting up a plant, it is necessary to select several existing processes. The manufacture of trisodium phosphate in the design of this plant uses a process that has been selected, namely the Neutralization Process. The consideration is that the chosen process is a process that facilitates the process of neutralization, and the costs are relatively cheaper. The neutralization process is divided into three processes, namely neutralization process, crystallization process, and drying process. The neutralization process is the reaction of phosphoric acid with sodium carbonate to disodium phosphate and then the disodium phosphate solution is reacted with sodium hydroxide to form a trisodium phosphate solution. The second process is the crystallization process which is the trisodium phosphate solution from the reactor will be fed to the evaporator to be concentrated, after the concentrated liquid will flow to the crystallizer to be crystallized. The results of the crystallization process in the form of trisodium phosphate crystals are carried to the rotary dryer to get to the next process, namely the drying process. The results of the design of the Trisodium Phosphate Plant are located in the Gresik Industrial Estate. this plant operates continuously for 300 days /year and 24 hours/day. The Phosphoric Acid raw material is taken from PT. Petrokimia Gresik and Sodium Carbonate were taken from PT. Kaltim Sahid Baritosoda Kimia.
