Abstract
Penelitian kali ini dilakukan di CV Sinar Baja Electric di divisi warehouse. Dari keenam warehouse, warehouse packing memiliki jumlah deadstock yang terbesar yaitu sebesar 4104 unit sehingga difokuskan pada warehouse packing. Deadstock disebabkan oleh belum adanya minimum stok, maksimum stok serta lead time yang terlalu lama. Demand pada bahan baku jenis packing kategori fast moving memiliki pola continuous dan lumpy. Untuk mengurangi peluang terjadinya deadstock dan menentukan metode pengendalian persediaan yang tepat sesuai pola permintaan, dilakukan simulasi Monte Carlo dengan continuous review (s,S) dan metode eksisting yaitu MRP. Demand dan lead time bersifat probabilistik sehingga dilakukan fitting distribusi. Kemudian dilakukan perhitungan input awal meliputi perhitungan persediaan dan total biaya persediaan. Hasil fitting distribusi dan perhitungan input awal selanjutnya dimasukkan ke model simulasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan pemilihan metode yang tepat. Hasilnya, terdapat 11 bahan baku yang lebih baik dengan continuous review (s,S) dan 10 bahan baku dengan metode eksisting. Metode continuous review (s,S) mampu mengurangi jumlah inventori yang tidak digunakan sekitar 80% atau sekitar 3905 unit. Penurunan jumlah inventori yang tidak digunakan menyebabkan peluang bahan baku yang deadstock semakin sedikit.

This observation was conducted at CV Sinar Baja Electric in the warehouse division. Of the six warehouses, the packing warehouse has the largest number of deadstock items, totaling 4,104 units, so the focus was placed on the packing warehouse. Deadstock occurs because the company does not have minimum inventory, maximum inventory, or a defined long lead time. Packing demand in the fast-moving category shows both continuous and lumpy patterns. To reduce the probability of deadstock and determine the appropriate inventory control method according to the demand pattern, a Monte Carlo simulation was used with continuous review (s,S) and the existing method, namely MRP. Since demand and lead time are probabilistic, distribution fitting was applied. The initial input, which includes calculated inventory and total inventory cost, was then determined. The output of the distribution fitting and the initial input were incorporated into the simulation model, after which the appropriate method was selected. The results show that 11 materials perform better using continuous review (s,S), while 10 materials perform better using the existing method. Continuous review (s,S) can reduce the amount of unused inventory by about 80%, or approximately 3,905 units. This reduction in unused inventory leads to a lower probability of deadstock materials.
