Abstract

PT.X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang industri plastik. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa kemasan lipstick, botol, compact, face powder cases, jars, beauty accessories dan lips cream. Dalam proses produksinya PT.X memiliki masalah yang berdampak pada tidak tercapainya target produksi. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena adanya penurunan kapasitas produksi dibandingkan dengan planning capacity yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan. Untuk menjaga kapasitas produksi sesuai dengan planning dapat dilakukan dengan aktivitas pemeliharaan. Aktivitas pemeliharaan yang diterapkan PT.X terdiri dari aktivitas preventive dan corrective. Aktivitas preventive maintenance belum berjalan dengan efektif hal tersebut berdampak pada mesin yang sering terjadi breakdown. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai rata-rata overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) sebesar 53%. Nilai OEE tersebut masih berada dibawah standar internasional. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi waste pada aktivitas pemeliharaan PT.X dan mencari akar permasalahan dari losses penyebab tidak tercapainya OEE pada mesin injection moulding. Dari hasil identifikasi waste diperoleh waste kritis yaitu waiting for maintenance resource, double handling, poor maintenance dan under utilization resource. Sedangkan untuk losses kritis terdiri dari reduce speed, idling and stoppages minor, set up and adjustment losses dan equipment failure. Setelah mendapatkan akar permasalahan dari masingmasing waste dengan menggunakan metode five why dilanjutkan dengan tahap rekomendasi. Rekomendasi yang diusulkan untuk perusahaan terdiri dari penerapan 5S, autonomous maintenance, training, sistem reward and punishment dan perancangan planned maintenance berupa penjadwalan preventive maintenance dan inventory policy. Usulan rekomendasi kemudian akan diberikan penilaian dengan menggunakan house of waste (HoW). Berdasarkan hasil HoW diperoleh 3 peringkat rekomendasi tertinggi yaitu Planned maintenance, autonomous maintenance dan Kaizen.

PT. X is a company engaged in the plastic industry. The products produced include lipstick packaging, bottles, compacts, face powder cases, jars, beauty accessories, and lip cream. In the production process, PT. X faces problems that have an impact on not achieving production targets. This is due to a decrease in production capacity compared to the planning capacity set by the company. Maintaining production capacity according to planning can be done through maintenance activities. The maintenance activities implemented by PT. X consist of preventive and corrective activities. Preventive maintenance activities have not been effective yet, which has an impact on the machines, which frequently experience breakdowns. Based on the calculation results, the average overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) value obtained is 53%, which is still below international standards. This study aims to identify waste in PT. X's maintenance activities and to find the root causes of losses due to the non-achievement of OEE on injection molding machines. From the results of waste identification, the critical wastes obtained are waiting for maintenance resources, double handling, poor maintenance, and underutilized resources. Meanwhile, the critical losses consist of reduced speed, idling and minor stoppages, setup and adjustment losses, and equipment failure. After identifying the root cause of each waste using the five whys method, recommendations were then formulated. The proposed recommendations for the company consist of implementing 5S, autonomous maintenance, training, a reward and punishment system, and designing planned maintenance in the form of a preventive maintenance and inventory policy schedule. The proposed recommendations were then assessed using the house of waste (HoW) method. Based on the HoW results, the three highest-ranking recommendations obtained were planned maintenance, autonomous maintenance, and Kaizen.
