Abstract

Rancang bangun pesawat terbang transport ringan berkapasitas 19 penumpang merupakan salah satu bentuk usaha pemenuhan kebutuhan transportasi di Indonesia terutama untuk daerah dengan penerbangan perintis yang sulit dijangkau. Dalam suatu penerbangan jarak jauh dibutuhkan perhatian terus menerus dari pilot untuk memastikan pesawat tetap terbang dalam kondisi stabil pada sikap yang diinginkan. Hal ini dapat menguras tenaga pilot sehingga fokus pilot dapat berkurang. Sistem pilot otomatis atau yang biasa disebut dengan autopilot dapat membantu meringankan tugas pilot dengan menjalankan beberapa tugas pilot secara automatik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan kendali autopilot dengan menggunakan metode Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (FSMC). Metode FSMC dipilih karena mampu meminimalisir error yang muncul dari respon sistem dengan menerapkan kontrol fuzzy yang dilakukan setelah merancang kendali dengan sliding mode control . Metode FSMC diterapkan untuk merancang autopilot pada gerak longitudinal suatu pesawat terbang transport ringan yang dikendalikan oleh elevator dimana pengendalian ini akan menjaga sikap sudut angguk (pitch angle). Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa kendali FSMC mampu memperbaiki error dengan rata-rata 0,912% dan memperbaiki overshoot hingga rata-rata 3,298% lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan SMC.

The design of light transport aircraft with a capacity of 19 passengers is one of the effort to fullfill transportation needs in Indonesia, especially for pioneer areas that are difficult to reach. In a long-haul flight, continuous attention is needed from tha pilot to ensure the aircraft remains stable in the desired attitude manner. This can drain pilot power so the pilot’s focus can be reduced. An automatic control system or commonly called autopilot can help ease the task of pilots bu running several pilots tasks automatically. Based on this, the design of the autopilot control will be carried out in this study using the Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (FSMC) method. The FSMC method wa chosen because it is able to minimize errors that arise from the system response by applying fuzzy controls that are performed after designing controls with sliding mode control. The FSMC method is applied to design the autopilot in the longitudinal motion of a light transport aircraft controlled by an elevator where this control will maintain pitch angle. The simulation’s results show that FSMC is able to reduce errors with average of 0.912% and reduce overshoot with average of 3.298% better than SMC.
