Abstract

Residents of an apartment have the right to get air in a healthy room. Indoor air pollutants can be sourced from the building itself, equipment in the building, the condition and age of the building, temperature, humidity, and things that are related to the behavior of the people in the room. In addition to these factors there are other factors that are allegedly influential in indoor air quality, namely socio-economic status, number of rooms, and number of occupants. this research is expected to be able to find out the condition of apartments in Surabaya. This research was conducted on 69 apartment units spread in Surabaya. This study will use Aerocet 531s tools and also questionnaires regarding related variables. After getting the sampling location, the tool will be installed for 1x24 hours. The data is then analyzed and included in the graph of the regression equation between the research variables and the results of satisfaction survey responses from apartment residents. The results of this study were obtained for PM2.5 variables that influence the humidity and cooking. Based on the results of the humidity test, it can increase the concentration of PM2.5 as much as 0.824 µg / m3 per addition of 1% rh, while cooking will add particulate concentration of 8.11 µg / m3 per addition of 1 hour of cooking duration. For PM10 the variables that are significant and proven to be influential are humidity, socioeconomic status, ii building age, cooking, the number of furniture and window openings. Of the 6 variables that have been shown to significantly reduce PM10 concentration based on the results of the statistical test, the building age is 7 µg / m3.
