Abstract

Perusahaan-X merupakan perusahaan domestik yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan Gula Kristal Putih (GKP). Dalam menjalankan produksinya, perusahaan sering terganggu dengan adanya downtime machine di beberapa stasiun produksinya. Dari data yang diperoleh, diketahui downtime yang dimiliki cenderung melebihi batas RKAP yang ditentukan perusahaan sebesar 14.7%. Downtime ini menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat availability sehingga hasil evaluasi produksi perusahaan menjadi buruk dan berpotensi adanya loss production (penurunan hasil produksi). Selain itu tingginya downtime juga berpotensi memicu terjadinya kemunduran masa giling (DMG) dan berakibat pada kerugian biaya produksi. Untuk itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan evaluasi kinerja perusahaan untuk mengetahui efektifitas lini dalam melakukan produksi. Evaluasi kinerja dilakukan menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yang mengukur Availability Rate (AR), Performance Rate (PR) dan Quality Rate (QR) lini produksi perusahaan. Dari hasil pengukuran diketahui nilai OEE untuk masing-masing stasiun produksi masih berada dibawah standar ideal world company yakni <85%. Analisa kemudian dilakukan menggunakan Cause-and-Effect diagram untuk mengetahui penyebab utama rendahnya nilai OEE masing-masing stasiun. Setelah itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan penyusunan strategi pemeliharaan dengan menerapkan konsep Preventive Maintenance (PM) pada stasiun produksi dengan downtime tertinggi yakni stasiun Gilingan. Strategi pemeliharaan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini memberikan output berupa jadwal/kalender pemeliharaan mesin yang dapat digunakan untuk periode giling selanjutnya.

‘X’ industry is a domestic industry engaged in the manufacture of white crystal sugar (GKP). In the production process, the industry is often disturbed by the downtime machine at several production stations. From the data obtained, it was known that the several stations’ downtime tend to exceed the company’s RKAP limit spesification, 14.7%. This downtime causes a low level of availability, so that, the results of industry’s production evaluation were bad and had the potential for loss production (decrease in production). Besides that, the high downtime also has the potential to postpone the milling period (DMG) and it causes in a loss of production costs. Therefore, this research evaluated the industry's performance to determine the line effectiveness in production process. Performance evaluation was carried out using the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method to measure Availability Rate (AR), Performance Rate (PR), and Quality Rate (QR) of the industry's production line. From the measurement results, it was known that the OEE value for each production station was still below the ideal world company standard, which was <85%. Then, the analysis was carried out using Cause-and-Effect diagram to determine the main causes of the low OEE value of each station. After that, in this research, a maintenance strategy was prepared by applying the concept of Preventive Maintenance (PM) to the production station with the highest downtime, milling station. The maintenance strategies that were carried out in this research provided machine maintenance schedule / calendar as an output that can be used for the next milling period.
