Abstract
Ruang metrik merupakan salah satu konsep yang dipelajari dalam analisis fungsional. Salah satu perkembangan dari ruang metrik adalah ruang b-metrik rectangular, yang merupakan kombinasi antara ruang b-metrik dengan ruang metrik rectangular. Salah satu hal penting untuk dibahas dalam ruang b-metrik rectangular adalah teorema titik tetap dan teorema pemetaan kontraktif. Teorema titik tetap kemudian berkembang sehingga diperoleh konsep baru, yaitu konsep pemetaan α-kontraktif. Pada penelitian tugas akhir ini, dibuktikan eksistensi dan ketunggalan titik tetap dari pemetaan α-kontraktif di ruang b-metrik rectangular. Dari pembuktian teorema tersebut, diperoleh cara untuk menunjukkan eksistensi solusi suatu persamaan integral.

Metric space is one of the concepts studied in functional analysis. One of the developments of metric space is the rectangular b-metric space, which is a combination of b-metric space and rectangular metric space. One important aspect to discuss in the rectangular b-metric space is the fixed-point theorem and contraction mapping theorem. The fixed-point theorem was further developed, leading to a new concept known as α-contractive mapping. In this final project research, the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point of α-contractive mapping in rectangular b-metric space are proven. From the proof of this theorem, a method is obtained to demonstrate the existence of a solution to an integral equation.
