Abstract
Sistem Informasi Kepegawaian ITS (Simpeg) merupakan sistem terintegrasi ITS berbasis web yang dapat diakses secara online dengan koneksi internet. Simpeg dapat diakses oleh dosen dan pegawai di ITS. Salah satu fitur yang terdapat pada Simpeg adalah memasukkan dokumen penelitian. Dokumen penelitian dapat berupa buku, jurnal, artikel seminar, paten, karya cipta, dan karya ilmiah lainnya. Simpeg mewajibkan dosen untuk memasukkan dokumen penelitiannya ke Simpeg, tetapi terdapat kasus dimana dosen memasukkan dokumen penelitian tanpa menambahkan anggota peneliti/penulis yang lain. Hal ini menyebabkan duplikasi dokumen penelitian. Untuk menangani hal tersebut, dalam Tugas Akhir ini dibangun sebuah modul rekomendasi dokumen penelitian menggunakan Elasticsearch agar tidak terjadi duplikasi dokumen penelitian. Modul rekomendasi dokumen penelitian terintegrasi dengan database Simpeg dan Silacak. Hasil dari pengujian sistem menunjukkan bahwa modul dapat menampilkan rekomendasi dokumen penelitian dengan baik dan mengurangi duplikasi dokumen penelitian pada database Simpeg.

ITS Staffing Information System (Simpeg) is an integrated webbased ITS system that can be accessed online with an internet connection. Simpeg can be accessed by lecturers and employees at ITS. One of the features provided on the Simpeg is to enter research documents. Research documents can be in the form of books, journals, seminar articles, patents, copyrighted works, and other scientific works. All research documents owned by the ITS community are stored in the Silacak database. Simpeg requires lecturers to input their research documents into Simpeg, but there are problems where the lecturer inputs the research document without adding another researcher / writer member so duplication of research occured. To resolve these problems, in this undergraduate thesis module was built to reduce duplication of research documents using Elasticsearch. The module for approval of research documents is integrated with the Simpeg and Silacak database. The results of system testing that shows modules that can show recommendation of research documents properly and can be used to reduce duplicate research documents in the Simpeg database.
