Abstract

Pengendalian kualitas suatu produk, perlu diperlukan oleh suatu peruahaan untuk menjaga kepercayaan dari konsumen. Salah satu metode pengendalian kualitas yang sering digunakan adalah peta kendali. Peta kendali X-bar Shewhart adalah peta kendali X-bar pertama yang diusulkan dan digunakan untuk mendeteksi pergeseran rata-rata proses yang besar. Namun, peta kendali X-bar Shewhart tidak sensitif terhadap pergeseran rata-rata proses yang kecil dan sedang. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dikembangkan peta kendali X-bar Variable Sampling Interval (VSI) dan X-bar Double Sampling (DS). Pada penelitian ini, diterapkan peta kendali X-bar VSI dan X-bar DS di PT. X. Hasil penerapan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi bumbu penyedap masakan di PT. X belum terkendali secara statistik. Dari hasil analisis, disimpulkan bahwa peta kendali X-bar DS lebih sensitif dalam mendeteksi proses yang tidak terkendali bila dibandingkan dengan peta kendali X-bar VSI.

Quality control of a product, needs to be done by a company to maintain the trust of consumers. One quality control method that is often used is a control chart. Shewhart X-bar control chart is the first X-bar control chart proposed and used to detect large shifts in process mean. However, the Shewhart X-bar control chart is not sensitive to the small and medium shifts in process mean. Based on this, then developed Variable Sampling Interval (VSI) X-bar and Double Sampling (DS) X-bar control charts. In this study, VSI X-bar and DS X-bar control charts are applied at PT. X. The results of this application shows that the production process of cooking seasonings at PT. X has not been statistically controlled. From the results of the analysis, it is concluded that the DS X-bar control chart is more sensitive in detecting uncontrolled processes when compared to the VSI X-bar control charts.
