Abstract

Seiring dengan berkembangnya transportasi di Indonesia, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) juga perlu dikembangkan. Salah satu bagian dari sistem tersebut adalah pendeteksian plat nomor, karena plat nomor adalah identitas dari kendaraan yang paling mudah diamati dengan kasat mata dan bersifat unik, sehingga memungkinkan untuk dilakukan pelacakan kendaraan. Pada penelitian kali ini dilakukan pendeteksian plat nomor pada video menggunakan metode Harris Corner dan Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER). Hasil uji coba yang dilakukan terhadap 4 video rekaman kendaraan di jalan raya diperoleh bahwa MSER mampu meningkatkan keakuratan deteksi plat oleh Harris Corner sebesar rata-rata 7.58% dari semula dengan menggunakan Harris Corner saja rata-rata keakuratan sebesar 84.36% naik menjadi 91.94%.

Along with the development of transportation in Indonesia, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) also needs to be developed. License plate detection is one part of ITS system, because license plate is a identity of the vehicle that easily seen and unique, so it is possible to use for tracking the vehicles. In this research, lisence plate detection on video will be carried out using the Harris Corner method and Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER). The results of trials conducted on 4 videorecording vehicles on the highway obtained that MSER isable to improve the accuracy of lisence plate detection byHarris Corner by an average of 7.58% from just using Harris Corner with average accuracy of 84.36% increase to be 91.94%.
