Abstract
Penelitian ini mempelajari tentang dekolorisasi metilen biru (MB) oleh kultur campuran jamur pelapuk coklat (BRF) Daedalea dickinsii dan bakteri Bacillus subtilis. Variasi volume bakteri B. subtilis yang ditambahkan ke dalam 10 mL kultur D. dickinsii adalah 2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10 mL (1 mL = 9,47 x 10^8 CFU). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua variasi kultur campuran dapat mendekolorisasi MB (konsentrasi akhir MB 100 mg/L) dalam medium cair Potato Dextrose Broth (PDB) selama waktu inkubasi 7 hari. Dekolorisasi MB tertinggi ditunjukkan pada penambahan 10 mL B. subtilis pada kultur jamur D. dickinsii yaitu sebesar 78,609%, sedangkan pada kultur jamur DD hanya diperoleh persentase dekolorisasi sebesar 17,150%. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bakteri B. subtilis dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dekolorisasi MB oleh jamur D. dickinsii sebesar 61,459%.

This research was studied about the decolorization of methylene blue (MB) by mixed cultures of brown-rot fungus (BRF) Daedalea dickinsii and bacterium Bacillus subtilis. The variation volume of B. subtilis that added to 10 mL of D. dickinsii culture was 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 mL (1 mL = 9.47 x 10^8 CFU). The results showed that all variations of the mixed cultures could decolorize MB (the final concentration of MB was 100 mg/L) in the liquid medium of potato dextrose broth (PDB) for 7 days incubation time. The highest decolorization of MB was obtained at the addition of 10 mL of B. subtilis in the culture of D. dickinsii about 78,609%, whereas the decolorization percentage in the DD fungi culture was only 17,150%. This research indicated that the addition of B. subtilis can enhance the decolorization of MB by the fungus D. dickinsii by 61,459%.
