Abstract

Synthesis of FeSe1-xTex (x=0,5; 0,75) was done by using Powder-In-Sealed-Tube (PIST) method, whis is each mol was given the variation of sintering-heat were 700 oC and 750 oC respectively and continued by doing characterization with XRD test, SEM-EDX, and cryogenic test. Based on the results of XRD test showed that the addition of composition Te led to the superconductor phase formation of FeSe1-xTex (x=0,5;0,75) formed were phase Fe (Se,Te), FeTe2 and pure Fe on each samples with dominant percentage of Fe (Se, Te) phase greatly determines the appearance of superconductivity in the sample. SEM-EDX analysis was done on sample 1 (FeSe0.5Te0.5 700 oC) and on sample 3 (FeSe0.25Te0.75 700 oC), those samples formed lumps in micrometer size. It showed that sample 1 and sample 3 are binded each other, the morphology of surface showed more heterogen than the other samples. Based on the results of EDX test showed that the the more dominant dissemination element were Fe and Te. Based on the results of Cryogenic test showed that on the making of superconductor FeSe which doping by Te on 750 oC of sintering heat were not showed the existance of Tc on sample 2, but on sample 1 has superconductor characteristic with Tc were 15K. It concluded that to get percentage FeSe phase need to form the superconductor characteristic.
