Abstract

Setiap tempat dibangun untuk mendukung kegiatan tertentu, sehingga kegiatan bisa mengacu pada tindakan yang diberikan oleh tempat. Salah satu konsep yang menekankan hubungan antara pengalaman sosial dan area geografi adalah sense of place. Untuk memilih dan memanfaatkan ruang-ruang yang ada, masyarakat dipengaruhi oleh sense of place masyarakat terhadap suatu tempat. Hubungan antara lingkungan tempat tinggal dengan manusia ini juga terjadi di kampung di Kota Surabaya. Salah satu kampung tersebut adalah Kampung Lawas Maspati. Kampung Lawas Maspati hingga sekarang masih menjadi kampung yang diakui eksistensinya serta menjadi kampung wisata budaya yang masih menghasilkan. Wisata budaya yang ditawarkan berupa interaksi antara masyarakat dan budaya masyarakat setempat. Dengan kondisi tersebut, perlu diidentifikasi interaksi antara masyarakat yang terjadi untuk mencegah hilangnya eksistensi kampung serta mendukung program wisata budaya kampung. Sehingga perlu dilakukan penilaian terhadap sense of place Kampung Lawas Maspati Surabaya. Tahap pertama dalam penelitian ini berupa pengukuran sense of place masyarakat. Proses pengambilan data menggunakan kuisioner yang disebarkan kepada 95 responden. Proses ini dilakukan dengan metode skoring menggunakan skala likert secara kuantitatif. Selanjutnya dilakukan penilaian terhadap fase sense of place masyarakat dengan pembobotan hasil dari tahap pertama. Pembobotan antar variabel memiliki nilai yang sama satu sama lain. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Kampung Lawas Maspati memiliki kesan positif yang tinggi terhadap Kampung. Terdapat dua kondisi sense of place masyarakat di Kampung Lawas Maspati yaitu terikat pada suatu tempat dimana masyarakat memiliki keterkaitan emosional seseorang terhadap tempat berada pada level yang tinggi serta merasa menjadi bagian dari suatu tempat dimana masyarakat memiliki rasa “kebersamaan” terhadap lingkungannya. Kondisi tersebut mengindikasikan adanya keterikatan yang dalam antara masyarakat dengan ruang.

Every place is built to support certain activities, so that those activities can refer to the actions given by the place. One of the concepts that emphasized the relationship between social experience and geographic area is sense of place. To choose and utilize existing spaces, the society is influenced by sense of place society of the community towards a place. The relationship between the environment of living and humans also occur in the villages Kota Surabaya. One of the villages is Kampung Lawas Maspati. Kampung Lawas Maspati is still recognized as a village and it becomes a cultural tourism village that still produces. Cultural tourism offered in the form of interaction between the society and the culture of local society. By these conditions, it needs to be identified between society in order to prevent the loss of the existence village and support the village cultural tourism program. So it is necessary to evaluate the sense of place of Kampung Lawas Maspati Surabaya. The first stage in this research is the measurement of sense of place society. The process of collecting data used a questionnaire which is distributed for 95 respondents. This process of the data used a quantitative Likert scale. Furthermore, an assessment of the phase for sense of place society is carried out by weighting the results of the first stage. The analyzing between variables has the same value each other. The results of the analysis showed that the society in Kampung Lawas Maspati have a high positive impression on the village. There are two conditions for sense of place society in Kampung Lawas Maspati, namely it is bound where the society has a person's emotional connection to a place at a high level and feels part of a place where the community has a sense of "togetherness" towards their environment. This condition indicates that there is a bound between society and their space.
