Abstract
Salah satu komponen utama pada circuit breaker adalah paduan aluminium 6061. Akan tetapi, dalam proses manufakturnya seringkali tidak memenuhi sifat mekanik yang dibutuhkan. Sifat mekanik paduan aluminium 6061 dapat ditingkatkan dengan memberikan perlakuan panas natural aging setelah pemberian solution treatment. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisa pengaruh perlakuan panas natural aging terhadap sifat mekanik, konduktivitas listrik, dan struktur mikro dari paduan aluminium 6061. Parameter yang digunakan adalah media quench pada solution treatment yaitu air, oli, dan brine, serta waktu aging pada natural aging yaitu 30 hari, 60 hari, dan 90 hari. Hasil pengujian menunjukan spesimen dengan waktu aging 60 hari memiliki ukuran dan jumlah presipitat yang lebih besar dari 30 hari. Sedangkan spesimen yang di aging selama 90 hari mengalami overaging. Nilai kekuatan tarik tertinggi dimiliki oleh spesimen yang di quench dengan air dan di aging selama 60 hari yaitu 248,89 Mpa. Sedangkan nilai kekerasan tertinggi dimiliki oleh spesimen yang di quench dengan brine dan di aging selama 60 hari yaitu 89,5 BHN. Nilai konduktivitas listrik tertinggi dimiliki oleh spesimen yang di quench dengan air dan di aging selama 30 hari yaitu 2,286 x 107/mΩ.

One of significant component of circuit breaker is 6061 aluminium alloy, it is due to its well conductivity performance. However, In the manufacturing process 6061 aluminum alloy often could not meet the required mechanical properties. The mechanical properties of 6061 aluminum alloys can be improved by providing heat treatment natural aging after giving a solution treatment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of heat treatment natural aging on mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, and microstructure of 6061 aluminum alloys. In this study the parameters used are quench media on solution treatment, namely water, oil, and brine. And the aging time of natural aging is 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. The test results show that an alloy with an aging time of 60 days has a size and number of precipitates that is more than 30 days. While aluminum alloys that are aging for 90 days experienced overaging. The highest tensile strength is possessed by aluminum alloys quenched with water and aged for 60 days which is 248.89 MPa. While the highest hardness value is owned by aluminum alloy 6061 which is quenched with brine media and aged for 60 days, 89.5 BHN. The highest thermal confuctivity is owned by aluminium alloy 6061 which is quenched with water and aged for 30 days, 2,286 x 107/mΩ.
